On 18 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued a
citation to Jesse Gutierrez, age 31, 173 Riverview Estate Lot
12, St Marys, for operating with an expired license. Deputy
Parks stopped Mr. Gutierrez near Sheets Run on State Route
7 in Newport Township.
On 18 Feb 06 Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff
Parks assisted Probation Officer Gault in apprehending Brian
R. Morgan Jr., age 23, 319 Simpson Street, Marietta, at a residence
on Twila Court in Marietta. Granted permission to enter the
residence by the homeowner, the Deputies discovered a number
of drug abuse instruments and marijuana before locating Mr.
Morgan cowering in the basement. Once Mr. Morgan admitted the
drug paraphernalia and marijuana were his he was charged with
the appropriate offenses and transported to the Washington
County Jail.
On 18 Feb 06 Anthony M. Lang, age 23, 322
Cats Creek Road, Lowell, was stopped by Deputy Sheriff Evans
on State Route 60 after he was observed traveling 65 mph in
a 55 mph zone. When questioned regarding his odor, Mr. Lang
confessed to drinking a number of alcoholic beverages prior
to the traffic stop. Also due to his poor performance on field
sobriety tests, Mr. Lang was arrested for OVI and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Chantilla Danel Brown, age 26, 1601 Lake Avenue,
Columbus, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Brown was arrested
in Marietta
by Detective Tilton of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18
Feb 06 at 3:13 am.
Anthony Michael Long, age 23, 322 Cats Creek Road, Lowell,
for OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Long was arrested
on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 06 at 3:52 am.
Jeremy Richard Leonard, age 24, 48840 Wargo Road, Caldwell,
for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Leonard was arrested on State Route 7 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Feb 06 at 4:31 am.
Brian Russell Morgan Jr., age 23, 319 Simpson Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for three counts
of possession of drug paraphernalia and for possession of drugs,
all misdemeanors. Morgan was arrested on Twila Court in Marietta
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 06
at 10:57 am.
Charles William Baker III, age 33, 435 Francis Road, Lowell,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Baker was picked up at
the Morgan County line by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Feb 06 at 2:10 pm.
Brandon Lee Hoffert, age 20, 1572 Elizabeth Street Apt. B,
Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Hoffert was arrested at the Locker
Room by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Feb 06
at 10:29 pm.
