On 10 Feb 06 the owner of Dave’s Auto
Sales, 707 Virginia Street, Marietta, reported during the evening
hours he believes a customer that inquired about a 1993 Pontiac
Grand Prix the day before, forcibly entered the business to
steal the car’s keys then stole the car.
On 10 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Norman investigated
a two vehicle collision at 101 Seneca Drive, Marietta. Admittedly
backing without first looking, James P. Reed, age 96, 113 Lincoln
Road, Marietta, struck the passenger side door of a Chevy Cavalier
driven by Joyce A. Burd, age 39, 1325 Gantsville Road, Little
Hocking. Both vehicles sustained nonfunctional damage; no injuries
were reported.
On 10 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Parks initiated
a traffic stop on a vehicle operating with only one functioning
headlight. Noticing the slurred speech and bloodshot eyes of
the driver, Teryl L. Heddleson, age 23, 52704 Frye Hill Road,
Sardis, Deputy Parks administered field sobriety tests. Mr.
Heddleson commented he drank four or five beers and that he
also smoked marijuana earlier in the evening. Mr. Heddleson
was found in possession of a wooden box containing marijuana
also indicated there was a hidden compartment in his vehicle
containing a marijuana pipe and a hollowed out ink pen ink
the trunk that is used to snort crushed pills or to huff marijuana.
In consequence, Deputy Parks arrested Mr. Heddleson for OVI,
having a faulty headlight, possession of drugs and possession
of drug paraphernalia and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Jenny I. McCabe, age 26, 122 Elmwood Avenue,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear in court having
been indicted for possession of drugs.
Jeremiah L. Pauley, age 24, Pennock Trailer
Park Lot 34, Beverly, for failing to appear to serve ninety
days in jail on 1 Feb 06.
Amber L. Webster, age 26, 104F Lexington Avenue, Chauncey,
OH, for failing to appear for jury trial on 7 Feb 06.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Lee Strickler, age 27, 230 Milltown Road, Newport, for
OVI, driving under an FRA suspended license and speeding, all
misdemeanors. Strickler was arrested on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Feb 06 at 1:30 am.
Teryl Lee Heddleson, age 23, 52704 Frye Hill Road, Sardis,
for OVI, having a faulty headlight, possession of drugs and
possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Heddleson
was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Feb 06 at 4:00 am.
Jennie Iona McCabe, age 26, 836 Pike Street
Apt. 9, Marietta, for two felony counts of failure to appear.
McCabe turned herself in to Corrections Officer Farrell and
was processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Feb 06
at 4:54 pm.
William Anthony McConomy, age 61, 16504 Cayman Drive, Tampa,
FL, for OVI and for failing to stop at a red light, both misdemeanors.
McConomy was arrested near Marietta Middle School by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 10 Feb 06 at 9:55 pm.
Michael Wark, age 54, 272 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for disorderly
conduct, a misdemeanor. Wark was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Feb 06 at 10:05 pm.
Andrew Alan Huck, age 28, 936 Fifth Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Huck was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 10 Feb 06 at 10:30 pm.
