On 2 Feb 06 Deputy Sheriff Eddy issued a citation to Adam C. McCutcheon, age 18, 9568 State Route 550, Vincent, for traveling 63 mph in a 40 mph zone. Deputy Eddy stopped Mr. McCutcheon near milepost one on Bethel Road in Warren Township.

On 2 Feb 06 Sgt. Underwood issued a citation to William J. Smith, age 28, 1278 Bender Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license. Sgt. Underwood stopped Mr. Smith in the Warren Elementary School parking lot in Warren Township.

On 2 Feb 06 an employee of Larry Fouss Construction reported at some point during the past three days two five hundred foot spools and a hundred fifty foot spool of copper wire were stolen from a jobsite on Oakview Drive in Marietta. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 2 Feb 06 Wilford L. Walraven, age 34, 60 Cemetery Road, Little Hocking, reported when he left for work that morning he observed two trash bags with the sides ripped apart in a ditch on his property, blocking a culvert. This case remains under investigation (1203).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Victoria Lynn Austin, age 47, 46048 State Route 145, Lewisville, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Austin was arrested in Newport by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Feb 06 at 1:50 am.

Bryan Lee Daugherty, age 24, 618 Shawnee Trail, Point Pleasant, WV, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Daugherty was arrested on US 50 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Feb 06 at 6:23 pm.
