On 29 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to James C. Thomas, age 30, 618 East Avenue, Tallmadge, OH, for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Stackpole stopped Mr. Thomas on State Route 7 near Lockhart Street in Dunham Township.

On 29 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Aleka K. Carr, age 20, Route 9 Box 106, Parkersburg, after observing Mr. Carr’s vehicle travel left of the centerline when turning from US 50 onto Braun Road. Despite Mr. Carr’s admission he consumed only one beer he performed poorly on administered field sobriety tests. As a result, Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. Carr for OVI and for driving left of center and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Anthony Ray Nichols, age 24, 1348 Eastview Avenue, Columbus, for a felony charge of failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and a misdemeanor charge of driving under a suspended license. Nichols was arrested on Sixth Street in Marietta by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jan 06 at 3:05 am.

Aleka Keone Carr, age 20, Route 9 Box 106, Parkersburg, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Carr was arrested on Braun Road by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jan 06 at 5:06 am.
