On 21 Jan 06 Sgt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff
Stackpole responded to the scene of a domestic dispute at the
home of Heather Stout, age 34, 1998 Clark Road, Cutler. Mrs.
Stout stated after hearing a vehicle pull into her driveway
she observed her estranged husband Wayne, age 39, exit the
vehicle and begin fulminating against her and her boyfriend.
During his tirade Mr. Stout broke a pane in the home’s
bay window and kicked a hole in the front storm door. Citing
the seriousness of Mr. Stout’s threats toward his wife
and her boyfriend, Sgt. Gherke arrested him for domestic violence
and menacing and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 21 Jan 06 Evette M. Hardie, age 28, 96
Main Street, Waterford, reported being assaulted in the early
morning hours by her live-in boyfriend John D. O’Brien,
age 50. While she and a friend were talking in the kitchen,
Ms. Hardie stated Mr. O’Brien, who had been drinking
virtually all night, awoke from his drunken slumber and accused
his girlfriend of whispering about him behind his back. He
then slapped Ms. Hardie across the face and pulled her hair
as she attempted to retrieve a wet washcloth from the bathroom.
Unable to locate Mr. O’Brien at the time, Deputy Sheriff
Simmons requested a warrant for the arrest of Mr. O’Brien
for felony domestic violence.
On 21 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
the theft of items from 406 and 412 Broadway Avenue in New
Matamoras. Stolen items include four Dewalt power tools,
a drill press, a sander, a Craftsman socket set, speakers,
a
router, channel locks and numerous other tools.
On 21 Jan 06 Deputies responded to an alarm
at Hensler’s Market, 1020 Pike Street, Marietta. Upon
arrival, Deputy Sheriff Parks noticed a rock was used to break
then window of south facing door. Once the building was secured
the owner inventoried the business and remarked a cash register
was stolen from behind the deli counter. This case remains
under investigation.
On 21 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued
a citation Melita D. Miller, PO Box 218, Tuppers Plains, OH,
for driving under an FRA suspended license and for failure
to register. Deputy Rhodes stopped Ms. Miller on US 50 at Federal
Road in Belpre Township.
On 21 Jan 06 Sherwin W. Hill, age 55, 27130
State Route 7, Marietta, reported at some point during the
past ten months a fireproof lockbox was stolen from the trunk
of his car. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 21 Jan 06 William D. Reed, age 43, 1090
Neff Ridge Road, Marietta, reported sometime during the past
week a Honda 250R three wheeler, two or three pipe wrenches
and a power drill were stolen from a barn on his property.
This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 21 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Kurt M. Lauer, age 45, 18069 State Route 339,
Dexter City, for driving under a license suspended for failing
to pay child support. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Lauer at the
intersection of Fifth and Scammel Streets in Pioneer Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John William Addlesburger, age 32, 41 Dunns Lane, New Matamoras,
for OVI, speeding, having fictitious plates, possession of
drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence,
all misdemeanors. Addlesburger was arrested in New Matamoras
by Chief Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Jan 06 at 12:25
pm.
Wayne Alan Stout, age 40, 1998 Clark Road, Cutler, for domestic
violence and for menacing, both misdemeanors. Stout was arrested
at his residence by Sgt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21
Jan 06 at 2:00 pm.
Jamie Lee Clark, age 24, 305 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre,
for a felony charge of failure to comply with the order/signal
of an officer and for misdemeanor charges of driving under
a suspended license and for failure to obey a traffic control
device. Clark was arrested on US 50 in Little Hocking by Patrolman
Morris of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 21 Jan 06 at 2:45 pm.
