On 9 Jan 06 Christine E. Bender, age 39, 112 Manchester Drive, Marietta, reported since last riding her Kawasaki Bayou ATV on 31 Dec 05 and leaving it chained to a tree with another ATV off Bender Road, her ATV was stolen. This case remains under investigation (1020).

On 9 Jan 06 the owner of Alibi Carryout, 11911 State Route 339, Vincent, reported receiving, from the same individual, two bad checks totaling $59.84 on 9 Nov 05. This case remains under investigation (8411).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

James Arthur Galentine, age 41, 205 ½ Montgomery Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, OVI, failure to control, speeding and for driving under an FRA suspended license. Galentine was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 06 at 11:05 am.

Mikal Leroy Sparks, age 27, 416 Main Street, Belpre, for two misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property. Sparks was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Jobes of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 06 at 11:15 am.

Michael Alan Lightfritz, age 25, Caldwell, for theft, a felony. Lightfritz was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institute by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 06 at 11:40 am.

Ieshia Marie Williams, age 27, 1010 Oby Place NW, Canton, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Williams was picked up in Stark County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jan 06 at 5:25 pm.
