On 8 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Nathan D. Gundlich, age 21, 708 Front Street Apt. 24, Marietta, for failure to register his vehicle and for driving with an expired license. Deputy Stackpole stopped Mr. Gundlich on State Route 7 near Blue Knob Road in Warren Township.

On 8 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued a citation to Katie A. Smith, age 18, 406 Warren Street, Marietta, for traveling 66 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Parks stopped Ms. Smith on State Route 550 near Wynnwood Drive in Warren Township.

On 8 Jan 06 Wesley F. Gibson, age 71, 836 Pike Street Apt. 3, Marietta, reported an acquaintance may have stolen a bottle of Vicodin he had filled four days prior. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 8 Jan 06 Rose Reed, age 53, 2000 Cow Run Road, Marietta, reported finding four bags of trash off the side of her road near milepost three. Through examining the contents Deputy Sheriff Eddy identified the suspect as Redgie L. Cline Jr., age 18, 511 Ferguson Street, Marietta. Asked about the refuse, Mr. Cline admitted disposing the trash along the road because he did not yet have garbage service. In consequence, Deputy Eddy requested a summons for Mr. Cline for littering.

On 8 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued a citation to Vicki L. Giffin, age 31, 3835 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, for traveling 59 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Parks stopped Ms. Giffin on State Route 550 near Wynnwood Drive in Warren Township.

On 8 Jan 06 Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff Malone investigated the report of a sixteen year old girl being held against her will. The complainant stated he received a text message from his sister requesting him to pick her up at Little Hocking Elementary School where she was in a vehicle arguing with her boyfriend, Michael T. Johnson, age 20, 218 Maple Drive, Williamstown. The brother further elaborated that when he arrived at the school he observed his sister begin to exit the Geo Prism but she was pulled back inside before Mr. Johnson sped away from the school. Dispatch informed Sgt. Hiatt they contacted Mr. Johnson via cellular phone, that he was en route to his girlfriend’s residence in Little Hocking and that he had a suspended driver’s license. The Deputies rendezvoused with Mr. Johnson at his girlfriend’s residence where they arrested him for unlawful restraint and driving under a suspended license and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeffrey Robert Winland, age 20, 1653 Jonestown Road, St Marys, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Winland was arrested on Long Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 12:03 am.

Carl Nelson Robison, age 38, 725 Front Street, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Robison was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 2:25 am.

Cara Day Thurston, age 30, 24928 Hoot Owl Ridge, Caldwell, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Thurston was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 3:30 am.

Scott Michael Hoalcraft, age 30, Marietta, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Hoalcraft was picked up in Meigs County by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 5:20 am.

Lou Ann Baker, age 38, 150 Camelot Drive, Belpre, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Baker was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 11:30 am.

Kareem Ali Wright, age 31, 222 Elm Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Wright was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 5:42 pm.

Robert David Reaser II, age 24, 931 Burton Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC, for OVI and for failure to control, both misdemeanors. Reaser was picked up in Massillon, OH by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 8:50 pm.

Timothy John Miller Sr., age 32, 108 Second Street, Grapeville, PA, for OVI and for possessing an open container of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Miller was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 9:00 pm.

Michael Thomas Johnson, age 20, 218 Maple Drive, Williamstown, for unlawful restraint and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested on Tower Road by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jan 06 at 9:47 pm.
