On 4 Jan 06 Angie Augenstein, age 27, 1175
County House Lane, Marietta, reported subsequent to noticing
muddy footprints on a mat on her kitchen floor she realized
her husband’s Playstation Portable and game were missing
from the kitchen table. This case remains under investigation
(292).
On 4 Jan 06 Dale Kearns, age 44, 2471 Charlemagne
Street, Grove City, OH, reported while he was away from his
unlocked truck hunting in the vicinity of Mayle Ridge Road,
a Horton bow, a space heater, a Winchester rifle, a Marlin
rifle, a cordless tool set and a night vision scope were stolen
from inside the cab. This case remains under investigation
(292).
On 4 Jan 06 Deloris J. Schofield, age 67,
1224 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, reported while she was out of
town for the weekend and her son had guests at her home, she
returned to discover two lockets, a mother’s ring and
a box of new syringes missing. This case remains under investigation
(695).
On 4 Jan 06 Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll conducted
a traffic stop on State Route 7 in Belpre after observing a
vehicle driven by Russell E. Damron, age 53, 202 Raymond Avenue,
Pennsboro, WV, weaving in its lane and also traveling faster
than the speed limit. Visibly intoxicated, Mr. Damron handed
Deputy Coppernoll a credit card when asked for his driver’s
license and was unsteady on his feet as he exited his vehicle.
Following his poor performance on administered field sobriety
tests, Mr. Damron was arrested for OVI and transported to the
Washington County Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Justin A. Harris, age 23, 521 Adams Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing
to appear for a scheduled appointment.
Ronald D. Welch Jr., age 35, 209 Fearing Street, Marietta,
for possession of crack cocaine on 14 Dec 05.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Timothy Wayne Snyder, age 25, 3543 Tick Ridge
Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Snyder was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 4 Jan 06 at 9:45 am.
Danny Joe Southers, age 53, 35785 State Route 7, Newport,
for having a weapon while under disability and for tampering
with evidence, both felonies. Southers was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Jan 06 at 1:50 pm.
John Phillip Estes, age 19, 30 Coplin Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Estes
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Zimmerman and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jan 06 at 3:30
pm.
Daniel Mark Rice, age 42, 2296 County Road 120, South Point,
OH, a fugitive from justice. Rice was arrested on State Route
7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Jan 06 at 5:16 pm.
Daniel Eugene Barber, age 18, 70 Main Street, Waterford, for
operating without a license, a misdemeanor. Barber was arrested
in Waterford by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Jan 06 at 9:11 pm.
Russell Edward Damron, age 53, 202 Raymond Avenue, Pennsboro,
WV, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Damron was arrested in Belpre by
Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Jan 06 at 11:25 pm.
