On 22 Dec 05 a twenty year old Newport resident reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls from an individual she believes is her ex-boyfriend. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 22 Dec 05 Cody J. Cline, age 25, 4103 Jackson Run Road, New Matamoras, reported while he stayed overnight at a friend’s apartment at 836 Pike Street the previous evening, two checks were stolen from his checkbook. This case remains under investigation (292).

On 22 Dec 05 Julie Casto, age 47, 3560 Waterford Road, Marietta, reported at some point over the past three weeks an unknown suspect broke into her step-father’s house at 3550 Waterford Road and stole a number of various items. This case remains under investigation (945).

On 22 Dec 05 a Decatur Township Trustee reported a chainsaw that a township employee inadvertently left in a tree on Turkey Hollow Road was missing when the employee returned to retrieve it. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 22 Dec 05 a passerby reported smelling the odor of natural gas at J and J Transmission at 4371 State Route 60, Marietta. Upon investigating the scene Deputy Sheriff Simmons observed tracks indicating a vehicle left the roadway, struck a gas meter and fled the scene. Though Deputy Simmons could find no arks to identify the vehicle, this case remains under investigation.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Randall Lee Westfall, age 46, 573 Sixth Street, Parkersburg, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Westfall was arrested in Athens by BCI Agent Fitch and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Dec 05 at 11:39 pm.
