On 20 Dec 05 the vice president of Bartlett
Farmers Bank, 2301 State Route 550, Bartlett, reported receiving
a counterfeit check for $3,000 on 5 Dec 05. When contacted,
the suspect stated he received the check from a woman whom
he met on the internet and that he cashed the check and wired
her the money in Africa less $250 for his troubles. This case
remains under investigation (597).
On 20 Dec 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks responded
to a report of an individual threatening to harm herself at
817 Masonic Park Road Lot 1, Marietta. Witnesses stated Georgia
L. Hall, age 43, checked herself out of rehab that day then
allegedly wrecked her car and consumed copious amounts of vodka.
Unwilling to check herself in the hospital for treatment, Ms.
Hall was arrested for her safety for disorderly conduct by
intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 20 Dec 05 Sgt. Underwood encountered a
vehicle traveling 71 mph on State Route 124 in Little Hocking
and conducted a traffic stop. As he spoke with the driver,
Richard A. Klimas, age 56, 2548 State Route 124, Little Hocking,
Sgt. Underwood noticed Mr. Klimas stuffing a plastic baggy
into his pocket. Seizing the bag, Sgt. Underwood recognized
it contained a small quantity of marijuana seeds. In consequence,
Sgt. Underwood issued Mr. Klimas citations for speeding and
possession of marijuana.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Mark C. Arbogast, age 44, 746 Maple Street,
New Martinsville, WV, for violating the terms of his probation
by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and for failing
to show proof of completing a driver intervention program.
Donald L. Crossno, age 44, 921 Spring Street, Cleveland, for
contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines in the sum of $136.50.
Patricia A. Jones, age 28, 134 Whipkey Drive, Waterford, for
violating the terms of her probation by failing to appear for
a scheduled appointment.
Eric W. Skidmore, age 27, 54 Hawthorne Lane Apt. B, Bidwell,
OH, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to
appear for a scheduled appointment.
Carl N. Robison, age 38, 725 Front Street, Marietta, for failure
to appear to serve a jail sentence on 17 and 24 Nov 05.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Christopher Lee Goss, age 21, 819 Ridge Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Goss was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Titus of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Dec 05 at 2:55 am.
Charles William Baker II, age 33, 435 Francis
Road, Lowell, for felony charges of extortion and theft and
a misdemeanor charge of menacing by stalking. Baker was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Newell of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Dec 05 at 11:00 am.
Terry Gene Bowlin, age 37, 5020 Tucker Avenue, Kannapolis,
NC, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Bowlin
was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Dec 05
at 6:30 pm.
Janet Lynne Bruce, age 47, 1107 Colegate Drive, Marietta,
for burglary, a felony. Bruce was arrested on Gilman Avenue
by Detective Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Dec 05 at 9:44 pm.
Georgia Lynn Hall, age 43, 817 Masonic Park Road, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hall
was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Deputy Sheriff
Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Dec
05 at 10:30 pm.
