On 14 Dec 05 an employee of Miller’s AM/PM, 2889 State Route 821, Marietta, reported the driver of a silver Honda Accord drove off without paying for $21.94 in gasoline. This case remains under investigation (945).

On 14 Dec 05 Sgt. Underwood issued a citation to Laura V. Cousins, age 35, 490 Culver Run Road, Waterford, for traveling 71 mph in a 50 mph zone. Sgt. Underwood stopped Ms. Cousins on US 50 near Clement Avenue in Blennerhassett Township.

On 14 Dec 05 Linda M. Robinson, age 52, 1248 McGill Road, Vincent, reported after hearing loud noises outside her home around midnight, she looked outside and observed an unknown person standing beside a Pontiac Grand Am, bashing her mailbox.

On 14 Dec 05 Deputy Sheriff Hall issued a citation to Jimmy L. Smith, age 38, 1235 Highland Ridge Road, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy Hall stopped Mr. Smith on State Route 7 near Nursery Road in Marietta Township.

On 14 Dec 05 the father of a fifteen year old Newport girl reported an unknown male allegedly exposed himself to his daughter as she rode her bike down Lee Avenue after school. Identifying and speaking to the suspect, Deputy Sheriff Simmons concluded the man was urinating and informed him to seek better accommodations to relieve himself in the future.

On 14 Dec 05 Deputy Sheriffs Hall and McLeish conducted a traffic stop on Pike Street on a vehicle driven by Mark A. Hall, age 19, 813 Garfield SW, Canton, OH. Stating he had a valid license, Mr. Hall gave a social security number returning a result of Carl Hall as well as an active warrant. Deputy McLeish informed Mr. Hall he was being arrested for the active warrant and began to place handcuffs on him, at which time Mr. Hall fled on foot. The Deputies apprehended Mr. Hall shortly thereafter and when he was properly identified, also determined to have an active warrant for his arrest. Charged with escape, obstructing justice and the active warrant, Mr. Hall was then transported to the Washington County Jail.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Amber L. Sparks, age 25, 718 Ohio Avenue Apt. C, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license on 2 Sep 05 and for driving under a suspended license and for having fictitious registration on 4 Sep 05.

Kenneth E. Jones, age 30, 615 Main Street, Waterford, for the theft of $100 from an ATM using the account of another.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Lee Metheney, age 31, Gale Avenue, Newport, for a felony charge of illegal possession of chemicals used in the assembly of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of driving under a suspended license. Metheney was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 05 at 3:10 pm.

Tracy Ann Cruse, age 36, Marietta, for felony charges of illegal possession of chemicals used in the assembly of drugs and failure to appear. Cruse was arrested on Interstate 77 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 05 at 3:20 pm.

Michael Ross Rini, age 30, 10 Old Mills Rix Road Apt. B3, New Concord, OH, for four felony counts of having a weapon while under disability and misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon, failure to reinstate his operator’s license and following too closely. Rini was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 05 at 4:20 pm.

Mark Anthony Hall, age 19, 813 Garfield SW, Canton, OH, for a felony charge of vandalism and misdemeanor charges of obstructing justice and escape. Hall was arrested on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Dec 05 at 7:55 pm.
