Archive of 12-13-05

On 13 Dec 05 Detectives investigated burglaries at 204 Alden Avenue and 304 Chamberlain Drive in Devola. In each instance the home was forcibly entered and large quantities of jewelry taken.

On 13 Dec 05 Karen C. Caseman, age 54, 710 Quarry Street, Marietta, reported she believes a relative stole over four hundred dollars in cash from a safe in her mother’s apartment at 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 12. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 13 Dec 05 Matthew W. Dowler, age 41, 798 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, reported while he was away from his home for three hours that afternoon, an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole a TV, a DVD player and a .22 caliber rifle. This case remains under investigation (305).

On 13 Dec 05 Sgt. Hiatt investigated an assault complaint at 836 Pike Street Apt. 3, Marietta. The victim, Wesley Gibson, age 71, stated Christina Baker, age 24, 280 Indian Run Road, Marietta, visited his residence in an intoxicated state and desired to consume some of his alcohol. When he refused Ms. Baker pushed him down and kicked him four times, including once in the head. Ms. Baker attempted to refute Mr. Gibson’s account with her own unbelievable, tawdry tale, but nonetheless was arrested for assault and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 13 Dec 05 Roger W. Meredith, age 52, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 26, Marietta, reported when he was leaving his residence that afternoon he noticed the tires were missing from his 1987 Iroc and that the doors of that vehicle and his 1988 Z28 were unlocked. Inspecting the vehicles further, Mr. Meredith determined the radio was stolen from inside the Z28. This case remains under investigation (1020).

On 13 Dec 05 an employee of Electrotech Appliance Repair, 258 Stony Run Road, Beverly, reported the business received a bad check for $147.81 for services rendered on 12 Apr 05. This case remains under investigation (8411).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Josh A. Morris, age 26, 37301 Seventh Avenue, Sardis, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear to serve five days in jail on 16 Sep 05 and for failing to pay the remainder of fines and costs by same date.

Sonya L. Weaver, age 19, 2904 Tenth Avenue, Vienna, for providing false information to a police officer on 6 Mar 5.

Amber Wesley, age 19, 100 Hendershot Road, Waterford, for failure to appear for arraignment on 30 Nov 05, having been indicted for burglary and misuse of a credit card.

Wesley Fullen, age 24, 3036 Chesterfield Street, Columbus, for failure to appear for arraignment on 30 Nov 05, having been indicted for having a weapon while under disability.

Justin A. Nice, age 20, 1945 North Street, Stockport, for OVI on 19 Aug 05 and for breach of recognizance for failure to appear for arraignment on 28 Oct 05.

Gilbert C. Croley, age 46, 1301 Hereford Road, Cleveland, for driving under a suspended license on 24 Sep 05.

James C. O’Brien, age 32, 88 High Street, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to pay his fines as ordered by the court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Christopher Dale Newlen, age 47, 413 Third Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of domestic violence and for a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Newlen was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 05 at 3:15 am.

Robert Lennard Wilson III, age 34, 3820 Bells Run Road, Newport, for OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 05 at 9:35 am.

Jason Alvin Harguess, age 34, 2500 Patterson Ridge Road, Stockport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Harguess was picked up at the Morgan County line by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 05 at 4:00 pm.

Amber Lynn Wesley, age 19, 2901 Wells Road, Waterford, for failure to appear, a felony. Wesley was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 05 at 4:25 pm.

Christine Gayle Baker, age 24, 280 Indian Run Road, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Baker was arrested at Sierra Apartments by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Dec 05 at 6:30 pm.
