On 11 Dec 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins conducted
a traffic stop on State Route 7 near County Road 20 after observing
an inoperable license plate light on the vehicle he was following.
Through a computer check, Deputy Mankins determined that the
driver, Joey L. Hill, age 23, 17 Wheelbarrow Road, Marietta,
did not have a valid license. Also detecting an odor of alcohol
as he spoke to Mr. Hill, Deputy Mankins administered a series
of field sobriety tests. Following Mr. Hill’s poor performance
on the tests, Deputy Mankins arrested him for OVI and for driving
under a suspended license and transported him to the Washington
On 11 Dec 05 John Langmeyer, age 32, 836 Pike
Street Apt. 5, Marietta, reported after allowing his cousin
to spend the night at his residence the previous evening, he
awakened and noticed his Savage twelve gauge shotgun missing.
This case remains under investigation (1203).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Anthony Haney, age 22, 380 Grub Road,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Haney was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Dec 05 at 12:02 am.
Kevin Wayne Thomas II, age 24, 505 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler,
for OVI, a misdemeanor. Thomas was arrested in Little Hocking
by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Dec 05 at 12:35 am.
Michael Edward McIntosh, age 41, State Route
821, Whipple, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor.
McIntosh was arrested
at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on
11 Dec 05 at 12:05 pm.
Norman Lee Hall Jr., age 38, 1103 Olive Street, Parkersburg,
for OVI, parking in the roadway and for having an open container
of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Hall was arrested on State Route
339 in Waterford by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Dec 05 at 7:20 pm.
