On 9 Dec 05 Lt. Seevers investigated an assault reported at the residence of Brenda K. Frazier, age 44, 90 Pleasants Ridge Road, Marietta. Ms. Frazier informed Lt. Seevers that while she attempted to assist a tenant in her home in a dispute with his roommate, Aaron W. Merrow, age 28, Mr. Merrow grabbed her by the hair and would not release his grip. Responding to Ms. Frazier’s pleas for help, Naomi Leister, age 63, 340 Jennings Hill Road, Marietta, tried releasing Mr. Merrow’s grip, to no avail and was bitten in the leg by Mr. Merrow. Mr. Merrow was finally restrained by others at the residence pending his arrest and transportation to the Washington County Jail on two counts of assault.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Allen Sayres, age 40, Caldwell, for forgery and for breach of recognizance, both felonies. Sayres was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 05 at 10:15 am.

Aaron Walter Merrow, age 28, 90 Pleasants Ridge Road, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of assault. Merrow was arrested at his residence by Lt. Seevers of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 05 at 8:00 pm.
