On 4 Dec 05 Robert Tornes, age 63, 1301 Milner
Road, Waterford, reported at some point since the first of
May, a Ruger .22 caliber pistol was stolen from a shelf in
his workshop. This case remains under investigation (586).
On 4 Dec 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes conducted
a traffic stop on US 50 near Grantsville Road after observing
the vehicle he was following straddling the roadway’s
right edge line and weaving in its lane of travel. Concluding
through a computer check that the driver, James C. Bartimus,
age 32, 1574 Elizabeth Street, Belpre, did not have a valid
license, Deputy Rhodes placed Mr. Bartimus under arrest. A
search of Mr. Bartimus’ vehicle succeeding his arrest
yielded a large plastic bag containing 128 grams of marijuana.
As a result, Deputy Rhodes also charged Mr. Bartimus with possession
of drugs and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Douglas Pugh, age 25, 105 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for
driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Pugh was
arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Dec 05 at 4:07 am.
William Dorsey Bowman, age 21, 120 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Bowman was arrested at
his residence by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
4 Dec 05 at 4:56 pm.
Ronald Bruce Sheridan, age 34, 404 Montgomery Street, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a felony. Sheridan was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Dec 05 at
11:11 pm.
James Clinton Bartimus, age 32, 1574 Elizabeth Street, Belpre,
for driving under a suspended license and for possession of
drugs, both misdemeanors. Bartimus was arrested on State Route
7 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Dec 05 at 11:56 pm.
