On 19 Nov 05 Carl A. Thompson, age 34, 210 Lancaster Street, Marietta, reported while he was at Sierra Apartments visiting friends, his live-in girlfriend Janet Gibbs, age 34, appeared and created a disturbance by knocking on doors and blaring her car horn. When Mr. Thompson exited his friend’s apartment to speak to Ms. Gibbs, she darted across the parking lot and punched him. Confirming Mr. Thompson’s account with witnesses and due to the fact he has a protection order against Ms. Gibbs, Deputy Sheriff Parks requested a warrant for Ms. Gibbs for domestic violence and for violating the terms of a protection order.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Glenn Mayle, age 19, 1495 Hackney Road, Beverly, for a felony charge of failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer and for misdemeanor charges of .02 underage breath OVI and reckless operation. Mayle was arrested on State Route 60 in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 05 at 1:00 am.

Benjamin Ivan Porter, age 39, 628 Front Street, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Porter was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 05 at 9:00 am.

Lucas William Wharton, age 26, Marietta, for OVI, for domestic violence and for failure to register a dog, all misdemeanors. Wharton was arrested in Macksburg by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 05 at 10:50 am.

Bryan Graham Beaver II, age 27, 635 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Nov 05 at 12:40 pm.
