On 12 Nov 05 a seventeen year old Waterford
resident reported being assaulted by his stepfather, Emmett
L. Cook, age 45, 1280 Lowell Hill Road. Mr. Cook retorted that
there is a lack of discipline with the juvenile and that during
an argument he believed his stepson was going to hit him so
he struck first. As a result of Mr. Cook’s actions Deputy
Sheriff Eddy arrested him for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 12 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriffs Day and Rhodes
conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on State Route 60 near
Lowell Hill Road after observing the vehicle travel left of
the center line. The front seat passenger opened to retrieve
the vehicle’s registration, at which time Deputy Day
noticed a plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana.
While no contraband was found on the front seat passenger,
Deputy Rhodes located two smoking pipes on the driver, Neal
D. Groves, age 38, 101 Mulberry Street, Newport, and a smoking
pipe and a bag of marijuana in the pockets of the backseat
passenger John M. Siddall, age 40, 207 Market Street Apt. 1,
Marietta. In consequence, both individuals were arrested for
possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and
transported them to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Emmett Leslie Cook, age 45, 1280 Lowell Hill Road, Waterford,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Cook was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 12 Nov 05 at 2:20 am.
Neal Daniel Groves, age 38, 101 Mulberry Street, Newport,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Groves was arrested in Lowell by Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 12 Nov 05 at 2:55 am.
John Michael Siddall, age 40, 207 Market Street Apt. 1, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Siddall was arrested in Lowell by Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 12 Nov 05 at 3:10 am.
Ronald Page Moncrief, age 35, 312 Homewood Road, Parkersburg,
for OVI, for driving under an OVI suspended license, for failure
to register and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
all misdemeanors. Moncrief was arrested on Putnam Howe Drive
in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Nov 05
at 4:45 am.
Jeremy Burgin Green, age 25, Brooklyn Avenue, Parkersburg,
for making a false statement, a misdemeanor. Green was arrested
on Washington Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Clevenger of
the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Nov 05 at 5:41 am.
Kyle David Bailey, age 19, Parkersburg, for being a fugitive
from justice and for a felony charge of receiving stolen property.
Bailey was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Kapple
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Nov 05
at 2:00 pm.
Brittany Marie Goss, age 18, 104 Riley Drive Apt. 9, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Goss was arrested at
her residence by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
12 Nov 05 at 3:30 pm.
Robert Gale Piatt, age 39, 19345 Cape Horn Road, Dexter City,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Piatt was picked up at the Noble County
Jail by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Nov 05 at 7:10 pm.
