On 11 Nov 05 Eric Black, age 56, 75 Martin
Road, Fleming, reported finding his soon to be ex-son in law
asleep in a downstairs bedroom of his home. Mr. Black offered
Aaron A. Kiggans, age 22, 450 Wentz Road, Marietta, a ride
home but Mr. Kiggans ran off. Mr. Kiggans returned a short
time later and reentered the home without permission by using
a credit card on a garage door. Deputy Sheriff Kapple arrived,
awoke Mr. Kiggans, arrested him for burglary and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes stopped
a vehicle for speeding on State Route 7 near Veto Road. While
performing a computer check of the vehicle’s occupants,
Deputy Stackpole and his canine Aboo conducted a canine search
of the vehicle’s exterior. Once Aboo indicated the presence
of drugs the Deputies searched the vehicle and discovered a
marijuana pipe in the coat pocket of a seventeen year old passenger.
As a result, the Ithaca, NY resident will be summonsed to appear
in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Emory Theodore Greathouse, age 39, 7928 Justice Avenue, Navarre,
OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Greathouse was picked up at the Navarre
Police Department by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Nov 05 at 6:35 pm.
David Mark Tewkesbury, age 41, 521 Barclay Street, Belpre,
for .17 breath OVI, for possession of drugs and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Tewkesbury
was arrested in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Nov 05 at 2:25
am.
Aaron Allan Kiggans, age 22, 450 Wentz Road, Marietta, for
burglary, a felony. Kiggans was arrested on Martin Drive by
Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 11 Nov 05 at 9:40 am.
Matthew Sanford Nixon, age 23, Marietta, for driving under
a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Nixon was arrested at his
residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Nov 05 at 10:00 am.
Nelson Lewis Douglas, age 38, 108 Berry Lane, Marietta, for
burglary, theft and for receiving stolen property, all felonies.
Douglas was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Nov 05 at 11:40 am.
Eric Wayne Morris, age 24, 836 Pike Street Apt. 12, Marietta,
for two counts of theft and for criminal trespassing, all misdemeanors.
Morris was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Gragan of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Nov 05 at 3:05 pm.
