On 9 Nov 05 Clifford D. Harris, age 42, 415
Lang Farm Road, Marietta, reported sometime between 11 pm the
previous night and 8 pm that evening his girlfriend’s
cellular phone was stolen from her top dresser drawer. This
case remains under investigation (232).
On 9 Oct 05 John C. Sheets, age 57, 282 Watertown
Road, Waterford, reported between 6:30 am on 8 Nov and 3 pm
that afternoon a compound bow and four arrows were stolen from
his garage. This case remains under investigation (232).
On 9 Nov 05 Paul C. Siskowic, age 66, 35170
Long Run Road, Lower Salem, struck a deer as he traveled northbound
on State Route 821 near Firehouse Road. Mr. Siskowic’s
Jeep Cherokee sustained functional damage; he reported no injuries
(500).
On 9 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded
the scene of the death of a sixty year old Reno resident. Deputy
Malone determined through family members that the man succumbed
to a three year illness. No foul play is suspected.
On 9 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Spencer requested
summonses for Edward Patterson, age 64, address unknown, and
Roy R. Workman, age 37, 1576 Elizabeth Street Apt. C, Belpre,
for theft. The two are accused of stealing a pickup truck full
of aluminum siding from 712 Carson Lane, Belpre, on 21 Oct
05 and selling the aluminum for $57.80.
On 9 Nov 05 Deidre E. Ely, age 19, 3277 Barth
Road, Belpre, reported being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend
Wayne L. Ruth, age 19. Ms. Ely stated she, her boyfriend and
his friend Jake Mason, age 19, 50 Second Street, Vincent, were
partaking in Captain Morgan’s and Hypnotiq Mr. Ruth and
Mr. Mason pilfered from Giant Eagle previously that evening.
During the revelry that followed an argument erupted between
Ms. Ely and Mr. Ruth over the use of a cell phone and of Mr.
Ruth slamming a freezer door. Mr. Ruth flipped his girlfriend
out of the chair in which she was seated and a short time later,
pushed her back onto the floor. Though he denied assaulting
Ms. Ely, Mr. Ruth conceded stealing the liquor along with Mr.
Mason. Charging Mr. Ruth with domestic violence and theft and
Mr. Mason with theft, Deputy Sheriff Kapple transported the
two to the Washington County Jail.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Cynthia Lynn Kidd, age 33, 121 Muskingum Drive
Apt. 1, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Kidd was arrested at
her residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
9 Nov 05 at 11:00 am.
Gena Diane Stalford, age 41, 121 Muskingum Drive Apt. 1, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Stalford was arrested at her residence
by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 05 at
11:00 am.
Jacob Edward Mason, age 19, 50 Second Street, Vincent, for
theft, a misdemeanor. Mason was arrested on Barth Road by Deputy
Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 9 Nov 05 at 12:20 pm.
Wayne Landon Ruth, age 19, 3277 Barth Road, Belpre, for theft
and for domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Ruth was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 9 Nov 05 at 12:20 pm.
Aireal Nichole Bennett, age 19, 943 Roberts Drive, Elgin,
SC, for trafficking in drugs and for possession of drugs, both
felonies. Bennett was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 9 Nov 05 at 6:45 pm.
William Anthony Clark, age 25, 943 Roberts Drive, Elgin, SC,
for trafficking in drugs and for possession of drugs, both
felonies. Clark was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 9 Nov 05 at 7:08 pm.
