On 7 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks investigated
reports of items stolen from unlocked vehicles parked at 7200
State Route 821, Whipple and 8590 State Route 821, Lower Salem.
The thief absconded with two crossbows and the Lowell Police
Department badge and identification of Mike Gerber. This case
remains under investigation.
SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR
EIGHTH OFFENSE OF OVI
On 7 Nov 05 Detectives Jenkins and Nohe of
the Washington County Sheriff's Office and Marietta City Police
Department, respectively, arrested Frankie Estep, age 40, 1935
Broadway Street, Stockport, for his eighth OVI and his third
offense in four years. As the Detectives reached the intersection
of County Road 206 and State Route 555 they observed Mr. Estep
traveling southbound on State Route 555 and cross completely
into the southbound lane. Making contact with Mr. Estep, Detective
Jenkins noticed a strong odor of alcohol and that Mr. Estep
slurred his speech and had glassy, bloodshot eyes. Mr. Estep
exited his vehicle but refused to perform field sobriety tests
and repeatedly gave false information pertaining to his identity.
Exhibiting his recalcitrant behavior further once a baggie
containing three Xanax pills was found in his pocket, Mr. Estep
became combative and was forced to the ground by Detectives
Jenkins and Nohe. Charged with a felony charge of OVI and misdemeanor
charges of possession of drugs, driving under a suspended license,
driving left of center and resisting arrest, Mr. Estep was
transported to the Washington County Jail where he is being
held on $3,925 bond pending his initial court appearance.

Office received the following warrants:
Joshua A. Dowler, age 23, 540 College Parkway,
Parkersburg, for operating without a license and for failure
to control a vehicle on 24 Sep 05.
Jason L. Elk, age 28, 310 Gross Avenue Apt. A, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation by failing to remain in
contact with his probation officer.
Larry D. Loy, age 46, 205 Sheldon Avenue Apt. 4, Marietta,
for possession of hydrocodone on 22 Sep 05.
Lucas W. Wharton, age 26, 216 Third Street, Lowell, for an
act of domestic violence committed on 6 Aug 05.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Eugene Anderson, age 25, Marietta, for
failure to register a change of address as a registered sex
offender, a felony. Anderson was arrested at the County Courthouse
by Deputy Sheriff Summers and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 7 Nov 05 at 10:55 am.
Cheyenne James Bolden, age 48, 5170 Germantown Road, Lower
Salem, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Bolden
was arrested at the County Courthouse by Deputy Sheriff O'Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov 05 at
3:40 pm.
Zachary Allen Douglas, age 18, 311 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Douglas was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
7 Nov 05 at 6:50 pm
