On 6 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a
citation to Frederick L. Uselton, age 39, 50510 State Route
7, New Matamoras, for driving under a drug offense suspended
license. Deputy Rhodes stopped Mr. Uselton on Gilman Avenue
at Market Street in Pioneer Township.
On 6 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks was dispatched
to 130 Cemetery Road, New Matamoras, in response to a domestic
dispute between Simon A. Knotts III, age 32, 52 Dempsey Avenue,
Parkersburg, and his stepson Lionel J. Gore, age 18. Mr. Knotts
advised Deputy Parks he was visiting his estranged wife at
the residence when Mr. Gore burst into the bedroom and commenced
hitting him in the head and body for no apparent reason. Able
to escape out a window, Mr. Knotts fled to the BP station nearby
where Mr. Gore pursued in his vehicle, threatening to run his
stepfather over. Chief Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police
Department intervened, holding Mr. Gore in custody until Deputy
Parks arrived to arrest him for domestic violence and transport
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 6 Nov 05 while working OVI patrol in the
Waterford area, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes conducted a traffic stop
on a vehicle that failed to signal when turning from Watertown
Road onto Hendershot Road. After noticing an odor of alcohol
on the driver, Thomas A. Starkey, age 35, 34 Maple Circle,
Waterford, Deputy Rhodes administered field sobriety tests.
Subsequent to Mr. Starkey’s poor performance on the tests,
Deputy Rhodes arrested him for OVI and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas Alan Starkey, age 35, 34 Maple Circle,
Waterford, for .08 breath OVI and for failure to signal, both
misdemeanors. Starkey was arrested on Hendershot Road by Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 6 Nov 05 at 3:00 am.
Challis Curtis Howell, age 22, New Matamoras, for obstructing
official business and for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
both misdemeanors. Howell was arrested on Greene Street in
Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
6 Nov 05 at 4:20 am.
Anthony Todd Durm, age 44, 809 Washington Street, Marietta,
for two felony counts of domestic violence. Durm was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
6 Nov 05 at 5:04 am.
Lionel Justin Gore, age 18, 130 Cemetery Road, New Matamoras,
for OVI, domestic violence, underage consumption of alcohol,
disorderly conduct by fighting, for driving under an FRA suspended
license and for reckless operation, all misdemeanors. Gore
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Nov 05 at 6:05 am.
Scotty Lee Mayle, age 24, 2915 Rem Circle, Canton, for .08
breath OVI, for driving under an OVI suspended license and
for speeding, all misdemeanors. Mayle was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 6 Nov 05 at 7:03 am.
Matthew Lester Jones, age 21, 509 Front Street, Marietta,
for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of
assault. Jones was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by
Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Nov 05 at 2:00
pm.
