On 2 Nov 05 Christian Jones, age 36, 111 Walnut
Ridge Road, Little Hocking, was exiting the visiting area at
the Washington County Jail when Corrections Officer Bichard
observed her turn around to speak to someone. Screaming followed,
giving the appearance a fight was about to commence. Officer
Bichard separated Ms. Jones and Frankie Sergeant, age 28, 1109
Colonial Drive, Marietta, as the two women continued yelling.
The two females, visiting the same inmate, were charged with
disorderly conduct for being disruptive to jail operations
and their visitation privileges terminated until further notice.
On 2 Nov 05 Robert Schultheis, 760 Stanleyville
Road, Whipple, reported while he and his wife were away from
their home for five hours that day an unknown suspect(s) entered
his home through a back door and stole a television, a computer,
a DVD player and a safe containing a large quantity of cash,
stocks and personal documents. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 2 Nov 05 Deputy Sheriff Eddy was dispatched
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 470 Cornerville Road,
Marietta. Kenneth Chidester, age 58, explained to Deputy Eddy
that when he confronted his wife Peggy, age 59, about her alternative
choice of lifestyle she struck him in the side of the head
with a phone. Mr. Chidester further detailed that he almost
vomited due to the fact that his wife grabbed him tightly in
the groin. Despite Mrs. Chidester admitting to only engaging
in a verbal argument with her husband, Deputy Eddy concluded
she was the aggressor, arrested her for domestic violence and
transported her to the Washington County Jail.
On 2 Nov 05, while performing routine checks
of registered sex offenders’ addresses, Deputy Sheriff
Summers arrived at 312 Lancaster Street, Marietta, the registered
address of John Anderson, age 24. The gentleman who answered
the door informed Deputy Summers that Mr. Anderson never lived
at that address and stated he believed he was living in the
woods around Greene Street in Marietta. In consequence, Deputy
Summers requested a warrant for Mr. Anderson for failure to
register his address as a registered sex offender.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Richard Allen Ward II, age 21, 66915 Graham Road, St Clairsville,
OH, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Ward was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 Nov 05 at 2:40 am.
Peggy Ellen Chidester, age 59, 470 Cornerville Road, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Chidester was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 05 at 6:45 am.
Sonny Lee Place, age 46, 344 Earl Place Road, Cutler, for
a felony charge of having a weapon while under disability and
for a misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs. Place was
arrested at the Courthouse by Lt. Wilson of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 2 Nov 05 at 8:50 am.
Adam Joseph Pritchett, age 21, 503 Cisler
Lane Apt. 503, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Pritchett was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Ellenwood
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 05 at 3:00 pm.
