On 29 Oct 05 an employee of Uhaul, 19540 State
Route 60, Beverly, reported a car dolly was stolen from the
business between 8 pm last Thursday night and 3 pm Saturday.
This case remains under investigation (500).
On 29 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes conducted
a traffic stop on State Route 618 in Belpre after observing
a vehicle driven by Nolin E. Morrison, age 55, 5579 Dupont
Road, Parkersburg, swerving outside its lane of travel. Mr.
Morrison stated he drank four beers at Veto Lake and was
on his way home. Having performed poorly on subsequent field
sobriety tests, Mr. Morrison was arrested for OVI and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 29 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks received
a report of an intoxicated male creating a disturbance and
lying on the porch of a home on Mount Tom Road. When he arrived
Deputy Parks observed Nathan C. Strickler, age 18, 88 High
Street, Vincent, with an odor of alcohol, lying on the porch
with blood on his face. Mr. Strickler stated he drank five
beers that evening and wrecked his four wheeler in the yard.
Though Mr. Strickler refused medical treatment, he requested
a ride to the hospital after which Deputy Parks requested
a summons for him for underage consumption of alcohol.
On 29 Oct 05 the owner of Cutler Station,
7731 State Route 555, Cutler, reported when he checked on
his store at 10:15 that night he observed an unknown male
in a hooded sweatshirt fleeing from the rear. Tampered with
were the cash register, cash box and cigarette cartons and
stolen was approximately $35 in cash. This case remains under
investigation (200, 792).
On 29 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriffs Parks and Mankins
responded to a noise complaint at 109 Deerwalk Circle, Marietta.
When the Deputies arrived the observed a number of teenagers
throwing cups of beer down and running into the woods. Entering
the open door of the home, the Deputies saw a keg of beer
as well as several subjects scurrying about in an effort
to hide the alcohol. The four juveniles present were released
to the custody of their parents and will be summonsed to
appear in Juvenile Court while the following individuals
were arrested for underage consumption of alcohol and transported
to the Washington County Jail:
Bruce Ryan Ware, age 18, 310 Putnam Avenue,
Marietta.
Katie Jane Watkins, age 18, 103 Sunnyview Drive, Marietta.
Natalie Anne Place, age 18, 120 Masonic Park Road, Marietta.
Kristin Lee Coppock, age 18, 707 Devola
Street, Marietta.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Sam Gordon Wilcoxen, age 27, 109 Hickle Drive, Cutler, for
OVI, for driving under a suspended license and for failure
to control, all misdemeanors. Wilcoxen was arrested in Beverly
by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 Oct 05 at 3:00 am.
Danny Leroy Herman, age 37, 184 Fourth Street, Lowell, a fugitive
from justice. Herman was arrested at his residence by Sgt.
Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 Oct 05 at 10:12 pm.
Margaret Gail Richards, age 39, 989 Mitchells Lane, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Richards was arrested
at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29
Oct 05 at 5:50 pm.
Steven Edwin Davis, age 52, 502 Barclay Street, Belpre, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Davis was
arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
29 Oct 05 at 6:20 pm.
Timothy Curtis Nay, age 35, 9105 State Route 550, Vincent,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Nay was arrested on State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Oct 05
at 11:50 pm.
