On 21 Oct 05 Corrections Officer Farrell investigated
an altercation between inmates Douglas Lauderman, age 42, 817
St. Marys Avenue, Marietta, and Donald E. Banks, age 47, 1424
Barth Road, Belpre. Apparently angered that Mr. Lauderman asked
him to no longer call him names, Mr. Banks punched Mr. Lauderman
in the left side of his head. Another Corrections Officer confirmed
Mr. Lauderman’s account of the unprovoked account, resulting
in charges being filed against Mr. Banks for assault.
On 21 Oct 05 Karen S. McConnell, age 48, 203
Oak Drive, Little Hocking, reported since discovering her spare
car and garage keys missing a week ago she noticed a set of
dishes, a floor jack, a computer tower and other miscellaneous
items missing from her home. This case remains under investigation
(232).
On 21 Oct 05 Homer L. Wilson, age 71, 2707
Lenore Street, Parkersburg, reported when he arrived at his
property on Carson Lane in Belpre that morning he observed
three males in a black Chevy truck loaded a large quantity
of aluminum trailer siding into the truck. The suspects then
fled the scene with the stolen property before Mr. Wilson could
make a positive identification. This case remains under investigation
(232).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Donna Marie Torbert, age 32, 610 Lang Farm
Road, Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Torbert was arrested
on Second Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 05
at 2:40 am.
Eldon Lavern Church, age 19, 3113 Creek Road,
McConnelsville, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Church was picked up in Guernsey County by Deputy
Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 21 Oct 05 at 4:30 pm.
