On 20 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks responded
to the scene of the death of a seventy year old Beverly resident.
The death appears to be due to natural causes, no foul play
is suspected.
On 20 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a harassment complaint at 375 Cow Run Road, Marietta. Charles
L. Sherman Jr., age 18, stated the stepfather of his seventeen
year old friend came to his residence and repeatedly threatened
the two of them. Determining Mr. Sherman and his friend were
in fear for their safety Deputy Evans arrested Sean E. Carpenter,
age 41, 7305 State Route 26, Marietta, for domestic violence
and menacing and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 20 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes responded
to the scene of the death of a fifty-eight year old Belpre
resident. The death appears to be due to natural causes, no
foul play is suspected.

Office received the following warrants:
Brandon O. Chambers, age 23, 1703 East 33rd
Street, Lorain, OH, for failure to appear, having been indicted
for possession of drugs and improper handling of a firearm.
Aaron J. Buckley, age 19, 1200 Lynch Church Road, Marietta,
for offenses committed as a juvenile.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Angela Lamora Striblin, age 45, 403 Washington
Boulevard, Belpre, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Striblin was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Morris
of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 2:15 am.
Terry Anthony Waterman, age 33, 785 Rummer
Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order,
a misdemeanor. Waterman was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 05
at 10:15 am.
Jeffrey Lewis Els, age 23, 229 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for
trafficking in drugs, a felony. Els was arrested at his residence
by Detective Warden of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 05 at 10:45 am.
Naomi Ruth Currey, age 44, 213 Cedar Street, Marietta, for
trafficking in drugs, a felony. Currey was arrested at her
residence by Major Winstanley of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 05 at 10:48 am.
Anna Denise Queen, age 40, 1103 Colonial Drive, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Queen was arrested at her
residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 11:00 am.
Robert Jacob Becker Jr., age 60, 1023 Greene Street, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Becker was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 11:11 am.
Miriam Jean Sergent, age 43, 1023 Greene Street, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Sergent was arrested at
her residence by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 11:15 am.
Carrie Ann Anderson, age 29, 274 Ridgewood Court Apt. F, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Anderson was arrested at
her residence by Detective Alkire of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 11:25 am.
Deane William Kehl, age 58, 836 St Mary’s Avenue, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Kehl was arrested at his
residence by Detective Tilton of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 05 at 11:32 am.
Joshua Scott Gibson, age 21, 109 Washington Street, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Els was arrested at his
residence by Detective Alkire of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 05 at 11:50 am.
Susan Ann Mentzer, age 50, 705 Ninth Street, Marietta, for
trafficking in drugs, a felony. Mentzer was arrested at Influent
by Detective Alkire of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 05 at 11:55 am.
Cynthia Kay Dailey, age 31, 1125 Greene Street, Marietta,
for forgery, a felony. Dailey was arrested at Speedway on Seventh
Street by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 12:42 pm.
Jeffrey David Turner, age 39, 195 Poinciana Street, Newport,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Turner was arrested at
his residence by Major Winstanley of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 1:05 pm.
Edward Miles Casto, age 43, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs,
a felony. Casto was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 05 at 2:25 pm.
Rick Donald Sergent, age 56, 1604 Michaelis Road, Marietta,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Sergent was arrested at
his residence by Major Winstanley of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 3:23 pm.
Jason Lewis Ek, age 28, 310 Gross Avenue Apt. A, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Ek
was arrested at his residence by Detective Wright of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Oct 05 at 4:00 pm.
