On 17 Oct 05 the security officer of the Lower
Salem branch of People’s Bank reported an employee allegedly
stole several hundred dollars in cash from her teller drawer
between June and September of this year. This case remains
under investigation (501).
On 17 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 20470 State Route 60,
Beverly, between Melissa D. Drayer, age 33, and her estranged
husband Christopher E. Drayer, age 35, age 35, 20470 State
Route 60, Beverly. Lying on his wife’s bed after putting
their children to sleep, Mr. Drayer began arguing with his
wife over her boyfriend, stood up, grabbed her by the arms
and pinned her to the bed. During this time Mr. Drayer declared
that if he saw his wife’s boyfriend he would bite his
cheek off and proceeded to bite his wife’s cheek. A short
time elapsed, Mr. Drayer fled the scene to his parents’ home
where he was later apprehended for domestic violence and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 17 Oct 05 the principal of the Washington
County Career Center reported learning from a student that
a fight between a sixteen and an eighteen year old students
transpired Friday during lunch in the welding locker room.
This case remains under investigation (586).
On 17 Oct 05 an employee of Sponey’s
IGA, 411 Fifth Street, Beverly, reported observing a teenager
wearing a football jersey place a can of smokeless tobacco
in his pocket and then under his hat. When the employee confronted
the suspect he fled out the bakery door and found a short distance
away hiding in a weeded area. When questioned, the sixteen
year old admitted stealing the tobacco and was issued a summons
by Sgt. Hiatt to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Andrew Joseph Brooker, age 20, 705 BF Goodrich
Road, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms
of his probation and for a misdemeanor charge of possession
of drug paraphernalia. Brooker was arrested on Lancaster Street
by Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Oct 05 at 1:15 am.
Christopher Eric Drayer, age 35, 20470 State Route 60, Beverly,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Drayer was arrested on
Township Road 144 by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 05 at 4:00 am.
Michael Scott Ayers, age 22, 1402 Erie Street
Apt. 1, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation,
a felony. Ayers was picked up at the North Central Regional
Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 05 at 12:30 pm.
Garland Anthony Ritchey, age 28, 18 Northgate Trailer Park,
Parkersburg, for the use of deception to obtain a dangerous
drug, a felony. Ritchey was picked up at the North Central
Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Oct 05 at 12:30 pm.
