On 14 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans began following
a vehicle that failed to signal when turning onto Erb Road
and later occupying both lanes of travel and stopping in the
middle of the road. Deputy Evans identified Lynn E. Wallace,
age 44, 4370 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, by her social security
number and administered field sobriety tests. Following Ms.
Wallace’s poor performance on the tests Deputy Evans
arrested her for OVI and for stopping in the roadway and transported
her to the Washington County Jail.
On 14 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued a
citation to a seventeen year old Marietta resident for reckless
operation and for passing on the right side of the roadway.
Deputy Parks stopped the juvenile on State Route 60 near State
Route 821 in Muskingum Township.
On 14 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Clifford D. Harris, age 41, 415 Lang Farm Road,
Marietta, for driving under a drug offense suspended license
and for failure to display a license plate. Deputy Mankins
stopped Mr. Harris in the Warren High School parking lot in
Barlow Township.
On 14 Oct 05 an employee of the Bartlett Corner
Store, 2346 State Route 550, Bartlett, reported the same white
Ford Taurus that drove off without paying for $29 in gasoline
on 18 Jul 05 also drove off that morning without paying for
$20.01 in gasoline. Identifying the suspects through surveillance
footage and their license plate number, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
arrested Shawn Allen Mayle, age 22, 16907 Sharpsburg Road,
Sharpsburg, OH, for theft and Penny Marie Grubb, age 24, 16907
Sharpsburg Road, Sharpsburg, OH, for two counts of theft and
for driving under an FRA suspended license.
On 14 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a report of a suspicious vehicle behind Frontier Precast at
2545 Waterford Road, Marietta. Seeing the taillights of the
vehicle illuminated, Deputy Evans contacted the two sixteen
year old passengers and observed what appeared to be marijuana
and rolling papers on the floorboard on the driver’s
side. Both males admitted they were preparing to smoke the
marijuana and also had crude smoking pipes fabricated from
a green plastic pumpkin along with a toilet paper tube coated
with duct tape. After releasing the juveniles to their parents,
Deputy Evans requested summonses for the two for being delinquent.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shawn Allen Mayle, age 22, 16907 Sharpsburg
Road, Sharpsburg, OH, for theft, a misdemeanor. Mayle was arrested
in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Oct 05 at 10:10 am.
Penny Marie Grubb, age 24, 16907 Sharpsburg Road, Sharpsburg,
OH, for two counts of theft and for driving under an FRA suspended
license, both misdemeanors. Grubb was arrested in Barlow by
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Oct 05 at 11:30 am.
Jeffrey William Hunn, age 19, 215 Scotts Place, Fairmont,
WV, for breach of recognizance, for theft and for five counts
of forgery, all felonies. Hunn was picked up at the North Central
Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Oct 05 at 12:20 pm.
Lynn Ellen Wallace, age 44, 4370 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for .17 breath OVI and for operating at a slow speed, both
misdemeanors. Wallace was arrested on Erb Road in Lowell by
Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Oct 05 at 10:39 pm.
