On 9 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Jason M. Farmer, age 25, 7 Cardinal Lane Apt. I, Athens, for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Stackpole stopped Mr. Farmer on State Route 7 near County Road 3 in Warren Township.

On 9 Oct 05 an employee of the Washington County Juvenile Center reported as she escorted a group of females back to the facility after completing community service, two girls who are fourteen and a sixteen years old fled on foot. The fourteen year old was arrested without incident after the two were spotted using a pay phone at Marietta Memorial Hospital while the sixteen year old escaped up a stairwell. Sgt. Hiatt was able to apprehend the juvenile and was struck in the face as the sixteen year old attempted to wrestle free. Both juveniles were returned to the Juvenile Center and summonsed to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent.

On 9 Oct 05 Sgt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded to a report of a domestic dispute at 104 Sierra Drive, Marietta. The Deputies spoke with Carl Pollard, age 37, and his wife Margaret, age 31, and determined no crime took place. Five minutes after their departure Deputy Mankins returned to the residence to answer a 911 call placed by Mr. Pollard. Mr. Pollard stated when answered in the negative to his wife’s question if he was leaving the residence that night, she backhanded him in the throat. Determining that Mrs. Pollard was trying to harm her husband and that if she remained in the residence there would be further problems, Deputy Mankins arrested Mrs. Pollard for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 9 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued a citation to Marketa Schublova, 2 Andover Road Apt. H8, Athens, for traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Stackpole stopped Ms. Schublova on State Route 7 near County Road 10 in Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mark Aaron McIntyre, age 23, 223 Broughton Avenue, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. McIntyre was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 05 at 3:05 am.

Margaret Joanna Pollard, age 31, 104 Sierra Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Pollard was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 05 at 4:15 am.

Joseph Hai Bui, age 27, 1175 County House Lane, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Bui was arrested on Cisler Lane by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 05 at 9:55 am.

Brian David Long, age 35, 517 Main Street, Lower Salem, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Long was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Oct 05 at 11:23 am.
