On 5 Oct 05 an employee of the City of Lower Salem reported between approximately 6 and 6:30 pm that evening, three juvenile females allegedly vandalized a section recently poured concrete sidewalk by running and writing in it. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 5 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks issued a citation to Stephen D. Wagner, age 52, 380 County House Lane, Marietta, for traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Parks stopped Mr. Wagner on State Route 7 near Orchard Road in Newport Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dennis Charles Crockett, age 28, 1560 Pleasants Ridge Road, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and for felonious assault. Crockett was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Oct 05 at 1:00 pm.

Edward Arthur Blume, age 65, 2815 Turkey Hen Road, Fleming, for rape and for gross sexual imposition, both felonies. Blume was arrested at Heartland Healthcare by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Oct 05 at 8:40 pm.

Wendy Rosalia Sudnik, age 28, 801 Third Street Apt. B, Marietta, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Sudnik was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Oct 05 at 9:00 pm.
