On 4 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole issued
a citation to Nathan D. Linger, age 21, 3905 State Route 530,
Lowell, for driving under an OVI suspended license. Deputy
Stackpole stopped Mr. Linger on State Route 60 near Bear Creek
Road in Adams Township.
On 4 Oct 05 Misty Ewart, age 19, 526 ½ East
Bell Avenue, McConnelsville, reported two days ago when she
arrived at Hadley Hollow to pick up friends, she was summarily
attacked by an individual with whom she had a prior dispute
over a man. Ms. Ewart suffered numerous abrasions and a bloody
nose during the attack and was treated for her injuries at
Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville. This case remains under investigation
(232).
On 4 Oct 05, after receiving comments from
several students concerning another student in possession of
drugs, the principal of the Washington County Career Center
conducted a search of a seventeen year old male. Admitting
the baggie discovered in his backpack was marijuana, the juvenile
faces delinquency charges pending in Juvenile Court (592).
On 4 Oct 05, while working drug interdiction,
Deputy Sheriff Evans conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle
driven by Amber D. Bedell, age 28, 720 31st Street, Parkersburg,
for failing to signal a lane change on Interstate 77. After
the Marietta City Police Department K-9 Boyd indicated the
presence of narcotics, Deputy Evans located a baggie containing
13.96 grams of marijuana under the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Also learning Ms. Bedell had a suspended license, Deputy Evans
arrested her for driving under suspension and for possession
of marijuana and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kenneth Royden Sparks, age 27, 405 Lord Street,
Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Sparks was arrested at his
residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Oct 05 at
1:24 pm.
Christina Marie Wilkin, age 27, 2216 Campbell Lane SE, Lancaster,
for receiving stolen property and theft, both felonies. Wilkin
was picked up at the Fairfield County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 4 Oct 05 at 2:50 pm.
Amber Dawn Bedell, age 28, 720 31st Street, Parkersburg, for
driving under a suspended license and for possession of drugs,
both misdemeanors. Bedell was arrested on Interstate 77 by
Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 4 Oct 05 at 3:35 pm.
Philip John Logothetis, age 43, 1466 Chandler Street, Lincoln
Park, MI, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Logothetis was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 4 Oct 05 at 3:35 pm.
Geary Donald Cole, age 58, 560 High Street,
Macksburg, for .08 breath OVI, for driving under an OVI suspended
license
and for failure to control, all misdemeanors. Cole was arrested
on County Road 8 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Oct 05 at 5:00 pm.
Sharon Louise Hinkle, age 49, PO Box 29, New Matamoras, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Hinkle was arrested in New Matamoras by Chief
Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Oct 05 at 5:26 pm.
Jason Eugene Barnes, age 29, 108 Seventh Street Apt. 2, Marietta,
for public indecency and for resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
Barnes was arrested on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Oct 05 at 6:07 pm.
