On 3 Oct 05, while investigating a disturbance on State Route 339, Deputy Sheriff Evans learned Layne R. Lowe, age 20, 451 Eyermann Road, Belpre, was driving a vehicle and responsible for the disturbance. Deputy Evans contacted the suspect at his residence and upon determining Mr. Layne was driving under an FRA suspended license, issued him a citation.

On 3 Oct 05 Patrick R. Slider, age 41, 625 Tower Road, Little Hocking, reported to Deputy Sheriff Rhodes that he noticed what appeared to be marks and scratches from a ricocheted projectile. Citing ongoing problems with a neighbor, Mr. Slider directed Deputy Rhodes to Craig A. Parsons, age 46, 797 Tower Road, Little Hocking. Mr. Parsons did not deny firing a weapon at Mr. Slider’s truck but admitted shooting his .45 caliber Ballester at the vehicle after observing Mr. Slider throw bent nails out his window onto the driveway. Though denying he was attempting to harm Mr. Slider, Mr. Parsons was arrested for aggravated menacing and for discharging a firearm near prohibited premises and transported to the Washington County Jail.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Victor A. Carver, age 26, 1812 Cameron Avenue, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $791.90.

Scott H. Davis, age 42, Route 2 Box 127 ½, Darien, GA, for driving under a suspended license and for speeding on 27 Jul 05.

Donald A. Hanshaw, 1473 Front Street SW, Warren, for OVI and for making an improper lane change on 28 Aug 05.

Zachary L. Huck, age 19, 12280 Veto Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment on 7 Jul 05.

Brian Long, age 35, 34629 Fleeman Run Road, Lower Salem, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,123.30.

Michael D. McKinney, age 55, 364 E. Main Street, Chillicothe, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $188.50.

Robert G. Piatt, age 39, 19345 County Road 41, Dexter City, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $273.

Joseph E. Bohl, age 39, 2785 Post Box Road, Newcomerstown, OH, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license on 19 Mar 05.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Craig Amady Parsons, age 46, 797 Tower Road, Little Hocking, for aggravated menacing and for discharging a firearm near prohibited premises, both misdemeanors. Parsons was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 05 at 10:05 am.

Paula Jean Price, age 41, 136 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Price was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 05 at 11:30 am.

Justin Ryan Schroeder, age 23, 6235 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Wingett Run, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Schroeder was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Perry and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 05 at 4:21 pm.

Warren Stephen Lee Tucker, age 24, for contempt of a court order and for theft, both felonies. Tucker was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 05 at 5:35 pm.

Ellen Dee Keerps, age 43, 1400 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, for two misdemeanor charges of theft. Keerps turned herself in to Corrections Officer Bichard and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 05 at 8:31 pm.
