On 2 Oct 05 Sgt. Hiatt issued a citation to Amanda J. Weidner, age 27, 4262 Anderson Road, Fleming, for failure to register and for having fictitious registration. Sgt. Hiatt stopped Ms. Weidner on State Route 7 near milepost fifteen in Warren Township.

On 2 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Kapple issued a citation to Jessica L. Krok, age 21, 806 School Street, Hubbard, OH, for traveling 73 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Kapple stopped Ms. Krok on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road in Dunham Township.

On 2 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes met with Cheryl A. Perdue, age 41, 4492 State Route 339, Belpre, at which time Mrs. Perdue informed him she just left her residence because her husband Mark, age 43, assaulted her. Mrs. Perdue stated an argument erupted over her husband’s son, angering Mr. Perdue enough for him to begin pushing her into the wall and onto the floor. Determining Mrs. Perdue was in fear for here safety, Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. Perdue for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 2 Oct 05 Deputy Sheriff Kapple assisted the Belpre City Police Department in locating a vehicle reportedly driven by an intoxicated male and with a three year old passenger. Deputy Kapple identified and stopped the vehicle driven by James C. Bartimus, age 32, 63445 State Route 124, Longbottom, on Drag Strip Road. Mr. Bartimus admitted consuming three beers, but performed poorly on each field sobriety test administered. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a metal smoking pipe with marijuana residue. As a result, Deputy Kapple arrested Mr. Bartimus for OVI, for possession of drug paraphernalia and for child endangering and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 2 Oct 05, after observing a vehicle travel left of center several times on State Route 7, Deputy Sheriff Mankins conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Logan C. Copen, age 18, 1987 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell. Despite at first denying she consumed any alcohol, Ms. Copen admitted drinking alcohol earlier that evening and tested above the .02 BAC limit for underage persons. In consequence, Deputy Mankins arrested Ms. Copen for OVI and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Denver Drew McCoy, age 51, 55 Christy Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. McCoy was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 12:01 am.

Mark Alan Perdue, age 43, 4492 State Route 339, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Perdue was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 1:45 am.

Jose Manuel Rivera, age 31, 917 Garfield Avenue, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Rivera was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 5:00 am.

Logan Chelsey Copen, age 18, 1987 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for .02 underage breath OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Copen was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 5:10 am.

James Gregory Rollins, age 37, 863 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Rollins was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 9:47 am.

Eric Lee Williams, age 31, 101 Gibbens Lane, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Rollins was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 11:35 am.

James Clinton Bartimus, age 32, 2342 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for OVI, for endangering children and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Bartimus was arrested on Drag Strip Road by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Oct 05 at 11:00 pm.
