On 30 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a report of a student under the influence of the alcohol at
the Washington County Career Center. After telling several
stories the fourteen year old admitted consuming six beers
while staying at a friend’s house. In consequence, Deputy
Eddy requested a summons for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile
Court for being delinquent.
On 30 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Evan L. Clark, age 20, 24054 State Route 564, Caldwell,
for not stopping at a stop light. Deputy Evans stopped Mr.
Clark on State Route 821 near State Route 145 in Salem Township.
On 30 Sep 05 Mark A. Peavy, age 49, 10 Scarlet
Sage Place, Spring, TX, reported over the past few days an
unidentified suspect(s) dumped old furniture, clothing, blankets
and other refuse on his property on Cow Run Road. This case
remains under investigation (695, 1071).
On 30 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins initiated
a traffic stop on Masonic Park Road after observing a vehicle
travel to the right of the fog line on several occasions. Deputy
Mankins then questioned the two occupants, both of whom appeared
to be under twenty-one, on their alcohol use that evening.
The passenger, Andrew B. Hall, age 18, 110 King Avenue, Marietta,
admitted consuming two beers, as did the seventeen year old
driver. Mr. Hall was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol
and transported to the Washington County Jail while the driver
was released to his parents and ordered to appear in Juvenile
Court.
On 30 Sep 05 the mother of a fifteen year
old Frontier High School student reported her fifteen year
old daughter failed to return home after the football game
as ordered and was also seen in the presence of a thirty-three
year old male she is forbidden to have contact with. This case
remains under investigation (1071).
On 30 Sep 05 Lt. Canavan conducted a pat down
search of Chad R. Carpenter, age 20, 560 Rummer Road, Marietta,
at the Warren High School football game after smelling alcohol
on his breath and believing Mr. Carpenter was under the influence
of alcohol. Finding a marijuana pipe in Mr. Carpenter’s
front pocket, Lt. Canavan arrested him for possession of drug
paraphernalia and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Andrew Blaine Hall, age 18, 110 King Avenue,
Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Hall was arrested at Masonic Park by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 05
at 2:35 am.
Robert Leonard Wilson, age 33, 3820 Bells Run Road, Newport,
for OVI, for driving under a suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Wilson
was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 05
at 2:40 am.
Dominick Francis Briganti, age 34, PO Box
528, Amsterdam, OH, for contempt of a court order, a felony.
Briganti was picked up at the Jefferson County Jail by Deputy
Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Sep 05 at 12:10 pm.
James Christopher Brumley, age 19, 122 Lake Arthur Drive,
Pottersville, PA, for burglary, a felony. Brumley was arrested
on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Sep 05 at 9:40 pm.
Chad Robert Carpenter, age 20, 560 Rummer Road, Marietta,
for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Carpenter
was arrested at Warren High School by Lt. Canavan of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Sep 05 at 10:40 pm.
