WASHINGTON COUNTY HEROIN SUPPLIER ARRESTED

Washington County Drug Team officers concluded a two month investigation on 27 Sep 05 with the arrest of Toray K. Wright (click for photo), age 27, 3104 Bennington Avenue, Columbus, OH. Drug Team operatives identified Columbus as a source city for the heroin imported into the Washington County area and Wright as one of the major suppliers. Numerous addicts from this area have been documented traveling to Columbus to obtain heroin from Wright and returning to use or distribute the drug here. Many times the cash utilized to make these purchases were derived from the proceeds obtained from burglaries, thefts, breaking and enterings as well as other various types of thefts perpetrated in Washington County. Wright was arrested without incident on Hamilton Road in Columbus by the Columbus Police Department Tactical Unit assisted by the Drug Team after Wright sold an undercover officer eleven grams of heroin. Officers acting in an undercover capacity previously purchased twenty-three grams of heroin from Wright. Wright is currently incarcerated in the Franklin County Jail in Columbus.

The Drug Team is a multi-faceted organization consisting of members of the Marietta and Belpre City Police Departments, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification, the Department of Public Safety Investigation Unit, the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington and Morgan County Sheriff’s Offices.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Gregory L. Levitre, age 31, 280 ½ Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve nine days in jail on 16 Sep 05 on a charge of contempt for failing to pay child support.

Samuel D. Simerl, age 22, 108 Virginia Street, St Albans, WV, for violating the terms of his community control, having been charged with receiving stolen property.

Bradley G. Antill, age 26, 205A Coal Run Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to pay fines in full by 1 Sep 05.

David C. McClymont, age 37, 307 Third Street, Lowell, for possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana on 2 Sep 05 and for contempt of court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ronald Lee Beach, age 49, 18 Butler Lane, Vinton, OH, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Beach was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 05 at 9:45 am.

Patrick Eugene Hupp, age 48, PO Box 1471, Beverly, a fugitive from justice. Hupp was picked up at the Zanesville Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 05 at 4:20 pm.

Bruce Allen Jenkins, age 49, 9277 Rush Lane, Chesterhill, for theft, a felony. Jenkins was picked up at the Morgan County line by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 05 at 11:00 pm.
