On 25 Sep 05, after stopping a vehicle for
having an expired registration, Deputy Sheriff Stackpole observed
the vehicle did not have a key in the ignition. Deputy Stackpole
instructed Jeffrey Coe, age 22, 4417 17th Street NW, Canton,
to exit the vehicle and conducted a pat down for officer safety.
At that time, Mr. Coe admitted he had a marijuana pipe in his
pocket, prompting Deputy Stackpole to perform a canine search
of the exterior of the vehicle. After Aboo indicated the presence
of drugs Deputy Stackpole located a baggie of marijuana. In
consequence, Deputy Stackpole arrested Mr. Coe for possession
of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 25 Sep 05 Earl Bryner, age 64, 1890 Zion
Ridge Road, Marietta, reported between 3 pm Saturday and 10
pm Sunday an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the workshop
on his property and stole a Dewalt power tool set. This case
remains under investigation (500).
On 25 Sep 05 an employee of the 124 Express
convenience store at 3938 State Route 124, Little Hocking,
reported after receiving notification of an alarm at the store,
that an unknown suspect(s) broke a window to the store and
stole approximately twenty cartons of cigarettes and thirty
cans of smokeless tobacco. This case remains under investigation
(602).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeffrey Michael Coe, age 22, 7749 McDur Road,
Guysville, for possession of drugs, for possession of drug
paraphernalia and for failure to register, all misdemeanors.
Coe was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 05
at 3:40 am.
Christopher Shane Scarbro, age 33, 900 Glendale Road, Marietta,
for burglary, a felony. Scarbro was arrested on Glendale Road
in Marietta by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
25 Sep 05 at 6:20 am.
Michael Larry Watkins II, age 36, 3227 Schoolhouse Road, Little
Hocking, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines and for parking near a curb, both misdemeanors.
Watkins was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 05 at 11:05 am.
James Scott Wilcox, age 38, 3227 Schoolhouse Road, Little
Hocking, for failure to appear and for violating the terms
of his probation, both misdemeanors. Wilcox was arrested at
his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25
Sep 05 at 11:05 am.
Heather Lynn Stine, age 24, 205 ½ Elm Avenue, Moundsville,
WV, for operating without or with an expired license and for
failure to control, for speeding and for giving false information
to avoid a ticket, all misdemeanors. Stine was arrested on
State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 05 at 6:51 pm.
