On 24 Sep 05 Geoffrey Davis, age 49, an inmate
in the Washington County Jail, reported when he reviewed a
detailed list of calls made using his phone card he noticed
an unfamiliar number. Concluding after an investigation that
Mr. Davis permitted another inmate to use his card and also
supervised its use by the other inmate, Corrections Officer
Bichard closed this case as unfounded.
On 24 Sep 05 Jennifer Mace, age 20, 904 Summer
Street, Parkersburg, reported despite giving a friend permission
only to move her vehicle farther down a driveway on State Route
339, the friend left the residence in the vehicle. Ms. Mace
also reported two hundred dollars in cash and a large number
of clonazepam were stolen from her purse as she slept. This
case remains under investigation (586).
On 24 Sep 05 Dalina Cleve, age 22, 26935 State
Route 7 Apt C1, Marietta, reported while she was away from
her apartment to do laundry, she returned to discover her front
door kicked in and her Samsung DVD player missing. This case
remains under investigation (1203).
On 24 Sep 05, while outside his vehicle at
Speedway on Seventh Street, Deputy Sheriff Evans noticed an
odor of alcohol on David L. Lori, age 41, 10 Browns Road Apt.
3D, Marietta, as Mr. Lori walked by and slurred his speech
as he spoke. Hearing a vehicle then start, Deputy Evans approached
Mr. Lori in the driver’s seat of his vehicle and spotted
a glass of ice containing a brown liquid next to a bottle of
rum on the floorboard. Because Mr. Lori admitted consuming
alcohol prior to Deputy Evans’ approach and due to his
poor performance on field sobriety tests, Deputy Evans arrested
him for OVI and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 24 Sep 05 a forty-seven year old Cutler
resident reported his seventeen year old stepdaughter allegedly
removed the license plates and battery from his truck to use
for her vehicle. This case remains under investigation (500).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Wayne Luke, age 44, 717 Quarry Street,
Marietta, for two counts of possession of drugs and for disorderly
conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors. Luke was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Sep 05 at 4:10 am.
David Lee Lori, age 41, 10 Browns Road, Reno, for .17 breath
OVI, a misdemeanor. Lori was arrested in Marietta by Deputy
Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 24 Sep 05 at 5:30 am.
Joshua Adam Dowler, age 23, 540 College Park Way, Parkersburg,
for operating without or with an expired license and for failure
to control, both misdemeanors. Dowler was arrested on State
Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 05 at 8:00 am.
Bret Alexander Christian, age 29, 28660 State Route 7, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Christian was arrested at his residence
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 05
at 9:30 am.
Benjamin Lance Bowers, age 20, 1530 Nichols Road, Whipple,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Bowers turned himself in to Sgt. Hiatt
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 05 at 2:20 pm.
Shaun Allen Griffin, age 21, 403 Lord Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Griffin
was arrested on Butler Street in Marietta by Patrolman Sury
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 05 at 7:05 pm.
Gilbert Clark Crowley Sr., age 46, 1301 Hereford, Cleveland,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Crowley
was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 05
at 8:40 pm.
Johnny Wayne Johnson, age 22, Route 1 Box 209, Newport, for
three misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of his probation.
Johnson was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 05 at 10:28 pm.
