On 20 Sep 05, as part of a drug interdiction
effort, Detective Alkire initiated a traffic stop near milepost
seven on Interstate 77 for following another vehicle too closely.
Once the K-9 Aboo indicated the presence of drugs, Detective
Alkire conducted a pat down on the vehicle’s driver,
Sherrod W. Leake, age 24, 230 Lenoir Drive, Eden, NC. Finding
a small baggie of marijuana in Mr. Leake’s front pocket,
Detective Alkire issued him a minor misdemeanor citation for
possession of marijuana.
On 20 Sep 05 Russell Strahler, age 43, 1001
Colonial Drive, Marietta, reported between 1 Sep and 19 Sep
a saw and a diamond tip blade for the saw were stolen from
a job site in Reno. This case remains under investigation (1203).

Mildred L. Dauchenbaugh, age 363 Main Street
Apt. 3, Waterford, for violating the terms of her probation
by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment on 8 Aug 05.
Joshua S. Lauderman, age 24, 114 Oakview Drive Apt. 5, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to obtain
a valid operator’s license or to serve three days in
jail on 13 Aug 05.
Alfred H. Martin, age 19, 23939 Moyis Road, Coolville, for
violating the terms of his probation by failing to obtain a
valid operator’s license or to serve three days in jail
on 13 Jul 05.
Stephanie L. McKeown, age 30, 815 Warrior Drive, Vincent,
for violating the terms of her probation by failing to obtain
a valid operator’s license or to serve three days in
jail on 10 May 05.
Laura J. Stoops, age 30, 100B Snodgrass Lane, Williamstown,
for violating the terms of her probation by failing to obtain
a valid operator’s license or to serve three days in
jail on 16 Aug 05.
James S. Wilcox, age 38, 156 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, for
violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for
a scheduled appointment on 5 Jul 05.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Donald William Carpenter, age 44, 105 Gilman
Avenue Lot 5, Marietta, for being in physical control of a
vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Carpenter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Blasko of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Sep 05 at 4:10 am.
Vernon Louis Sebring, age 40, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Sebring was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 20 Sep 05 at 11:00 am.
Todd Alan Covey, PO Box 99, Marietta, for violating the terms
of his probation, a misdemeanor. Covey was arrested at the
office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Sep 05 at 2:50 pm.
Martin Dean Welch Jr., age 33, 230 Faye Avenue, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Welch was arrested near the Monroe County
line by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Sep 05 at 3:45 pm.
Michael Edward McIntosh, age 40, State Route 821, Whipple,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. McIntosh was arrested on County Road
17 by Deputy Sheriff hall and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Sep 05 at 8:05 pm.
Cory Everett Meeks, age 20, 707 Elm Street
Apt. A, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Meeks was arrested on County Road 17
by Deputy Sheriff Hall and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Sep 05 at 8:05 pm.
Jonathan James Rager, age 30, Route 2 Box 97-5, Waverly, WV,
for three counts of theft, for obstructing official business
and for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors.
Rager was arrested at Wal-Mart in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Sep 05 at 10:05 pm.
