On 18 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans noticed
a motorcycle traveling northbound on State Route 7 without
an operational taillight and initiated a traffic stop near
milepost thirteen. Questioning the driver, Michael V. Richards,
age 28, 1365 McGill Road, Vincent, Deputy Evans noticed an
odor of alcohol and requested Mr. Richards perform field sobriety
tests. Following Mr. Richards’ poor performance on the
tests Deputy Evans arrested him for OVI and transported him
to the Washington County Jail.
On 18 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole stopped
a vehicle for speeding on State Route 7 near Township Road
7. While explaining the citation to the driver, Joshua C. Palsa,
age 18, 10990 Newberry Avenue, Uniontown, OH, Deputy Stackpole
notice Mr. Palsa acted nervous and conducted an exterior search
of the vehicle with his canine Aboo. Aboo indicated the presence
of narcotics in the vehicle, giving probable cause to Deputy
Stackpole to search the interior, during which time he found
a bag containing 117.4 grams of marijuana and several pieces
of drug paraphernalia. In consequence, Deputy Stackpole arrested
Mr. Palsa for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 18 Sep 05 a forty-five year old Belpre
resident reported despite ordering his seventeen year old daughter
to not to have contact with a certain individual he observed
the two together at the Grand Central Mall. The two fled the
scene and the father stated his daughter had yet to return
home. Therefore Deputy Sheriff Evans requested a summons for
the juvenile for being unruly.
On 18 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Ortiz mediated
a dispute over the ownership of a CB radio between Roger
L. Colebank, age 41, 20545 State Route 550, Marietta, and another
individual. Due to conflicting and fickle statements made
by
each party and that the dispute is a civil matter, Deputy
Ortiz closed this case as unfounded.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joseph Brian Henthorn, age 26, 38764 Keith
Town Road, Caldwell, for .17 breath OVI and for driving outside
the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Henthorn was
arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 05
at 12:39 am.
Vicki Adina Bradley, age 34, 2730 Upper Fifteenmile Creek
Road, Wingett Run, for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
a misdemeanor. Bradley was arrested on County Road 11 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Sep 05 at 3:11 am.
Chadwick Daniel Bradley, age 30, 2730 Upper Fifteenmile Creek
Road, Wingett Run, for OVI and for driving under an FRA suspended
license, both misdemeanors. Bradley was arrested in Salem Township
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Sep 05 at 3:43 am.
Michael Von Richards, age 28, 1365 McGill Road, Vincent, for
.08 breath OVIO and for having fault equipment, both misdemeanors.
Richards was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Evans
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 05
at 4:21 am.
Daniel Robert Schall, age 19, 211 Fourth Street, Marietta,
for burglary, a felony. Schall was arrested at Marietta College
by Officer Cline of the Marietta College Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 05
at 7:09 am.
William Earl Seevers, age 39, 1115 Gilman Avenue, Marietta,
for felony charges of violating the terms of his parole and
burglary. Seevers was arrested on State Route 555 by Deputy
Sheriff Ortiz and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 18 Sep 05 at 1:45 pm.
Nicholas William Novotny, age 19, 727 Deerfield Drive SW,
North Canton, for possession of drugs and for possession of
drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Novotny was arrested
on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 05 at 6:30 pm.
Joshua Craig Palsa, age 18, 10990 Newbury Avenue NW, Uniontown,
OH, for possession of drugs, a misdemeanors. Palsa was arrested
on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 05 at 6:30 pm.
David Ray Burwell, age 47, Barber Street, Marietta, for failure
to appear, a misdemeanor. Burwell was arrested at his residence
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Sep 05
at 8:15 pm.
