On 17 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Kapple issued
a citation to Daniel Alonso, age 19, 250 NW 62 Avenue, Miami,
FL, for traveling 76 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Kapple stopped
Mr. Alonso on US 50 near Clement Avenue in Belpre.
On 17 Sep 05 Susan Stoneking, PO Box 144,
Friendly, WV, reported since last visiting her incarcerated
boyfriend’s home at 1200 Collins Road, Whipple, on 12
Sep 05, she returned to discover a number of his personal items
missing. This case remains under investigation (945).
On 17 Sep 05 Detective Jenkins conducted a
traffic stop on County Road 14 after observing a passing vehicle
traveling faster than the speed limit and also swerving out
its lane. Roger L. Thomas, age 48, 525 Joy Lane, New Matamoras,
immediately exited his vehicle with his arms raised and staggered
toward Detective Jenkins. Also noticing Mr. Thomas had bloodshot
eyes and an odor of alcohol, Detective Jenkins administered
field sobriety tests, on which Mr. Thomas performed poorly.
A subsequent search of Mr. Thomas’ vehicle yielded a
loaded .22 caliber rifle, which Detective Jenkins unloaded
and secured as evidence. Charged with OVI, driving under a
suspended license, driving left of center, having fictitious
plates and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle,
Mr. Thomas was transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 17 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Eddy responded
to a casualty report at 1460 State Route 676 in Stockport.
Michelle Mederer, age 36, 167 Short Road, Stockport, suffered
minor scrapes to her face and leg when she was forced to lay
down the Honda dirt bike she was riding. The Wesley Township
Volunteer Fire Department transported Ms. Mederer to Marietta
Memorial Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
On 17 Sep 05 Russell Wickline II, age 25,
1275 Browns Road, Marietta, reported when he prepared to
install a new amplifier in his car on 4 Jul 05, he looked in
the closet
and discovered the amplifier was stolen. This case remains
under investigation (1184).
On 17 Sep 05 Courtney M. Lamp, age 18, 108
Berry Lane, Marietta, reported as she and her husband Chadwick,
age 23, were en route to a function the two began arguing about
finances and after reversing direction for home, Mr. Lamp backhanded
her in the mouth. Once back at their residence that the couple
shares with Mrs. Lamp’s brother Nathan Cline, age 19,
Mr. Lamp threatened Mr. Cline to stay out of the confrontation
or he would break his nose. Determining both victims were in
fear for their safety, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested Mr. Lamp
for two counts of domestic violence and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Roger Lee Thomas, age 48, 595 Joy Road, Newport,
for .08 breath OVI, for driving under a suspended license,
for driving left of center, for having fictitious plates and
for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, all
misdemeanors. Thomas was arrested on County Road 14 by Detective
Jenkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 05 at 2:25
am.
Adam Merrill Kidd, age 21, 75 Bethel Place, Washington, WV,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Kidd was arrested in Belpre by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 Sep 05 at 3:09 am.
Joseph Wade Hubbard, age 41, Mahoning Avenue, Canton, for
a felony charge of domestic violence and for misdemeanor charges
of driving under a suspended license, reckless operation, for
window tint, OVI and for possession of drugs. Hubbard was arrested
in New Matamoras by Chief Travaglio of the New Matamoras Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
17 Sep 05 at 3:38 am.
William Henry Thomas, age 36, 1007 Orchard Street Apt. 2,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Thomas was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 Sep 05 at 6:01 am.
Eric Brent Dickinson, age 42, 310 Hague Avenue, Columbus,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Dickinson
was arrested on Jefferson Street in Marietta by Patrolman Newell
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 05 at 12:05 pm.
David Andrew Walker, age 19, 2835 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Walker was arrested at the intersection of Putnam Avenue and
Franklin Street by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 05 at 3:50 pm.
Chad Dean Lamp, age 23, 108 Berry Lane, Marietta, for two
misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Lamp was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Sep 05 at 8:05 pm.
