On 14 Sep 05 Marc L. Jaeger, age 37, 518 Smith
Street, Marietta, reported his former girlfriend threatened
him and his new girlfriend on his parents’ property despite
being asked not to enter the property. During an investigation
Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll determined both parties made statements
that could be construed as threats, thus closing this case
as unfounded.
On 14 Sep 05 Lt. Huffer was dispatched to
3245 State Route 530, Lowell, in response to a distress call
made by Helena Riggs, age 31. Mrs. Riggs informed Lt. Huffer
that her husband Jerry, age 35, of ten years consumed a large
quantity of alcohol and attempted to provoke a fight by making
derogatory comments and threatening her. Mr. Riggs continued
to berate his wife, swinging his fist at her once or twice
then pushing his fist into her eye. Because Mr. Riggs has a
prior conviction of domestic violence, Lt. Huffer arrested
him for felony domestic violence and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gregory John Davis, age 46, 705 Sixth Street,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested
on Seventh Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
