On 11 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans conducted
a traffic stop on Interstate 77 after observing a vehicle traveling
faster than the speed limit. While waiting for the driver’s
license information to process the Belpre City Police Department’s
K-9 indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A subsequent
search yielded approximately 23 grams of marijuana as well
as a marijuana pipe. In consequence, Deputy Evans arrested
David E. Loeser, age 43, 7025 Wilson Mills Road, Gates Mills,
OH, for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 Sep 05 Gene Knotts, age 59, 65 Main
Lane, Little Hocking, reported when he and his wife returned
from a three day holiday they noticed where an unknown suspect(s)
cut through a kitchen window screen, entered their home and
stole a Huffy mountain bike. The mountain bike was recovered
before it was reported stolen along a road in Little Hocking.
This case remains under investigation (586).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Duane Jeffrey Burer, age 35, 11510 State Route
821, Waterford, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Burer was arrested in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Parks and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 05 at 12:38
am.
Kenneth Doar Roberts, age 31, PO Box 28, Bartlett, for .17
breath OVI and for failure to control, both misdemeanors. Roberts
was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 05
at 1:55 am.
Erica Lynn Nesselroad, age 20, 603 Main Street, Belpre, for
passing bad checks and for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
both misdemeanors. Nesselroad was arrested on Front Street
in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
11 Sep 05 at 3:02 am.
Lorena Ann Smith, age 27, 2409 Hanvey Avenue, Belpre, for
driving under a suspended license and for failure to register,
both misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on State Route 7 in Belpre
by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 05
at 8:05 pm.
