On 8 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Day issued a citation
to Misty D. Smith, age 27, 717 Greene Street, Marietta, for
driving under an FRA suspended license and for having an inoperable
license plate light. Deputy Day stopped Ms. Smith on State
Route 7 near County Road 9 in Marietta Township.
On 8 Sep 05 Corrections Officer Young witnessed
an assault involving inmates Baxter L. Grimes, age 28, 817
Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, and John E. Anderson, age
23, 727 Greene Street, Marietta. After being asked by Mr. Grimes
to stop knocking on a door that divides two cellblocks, Mr.
Anderson poked him in the eye, put him in a headlock and wrestled
Mr. Grimes to the floor. In consequence, Sgt. Reeder requested
a summons for Mr. Anderson for assault.
On 8 Sep 05, Deputy Sheriff Willson responded
to a report of an individual at the Washington County Home
threatening suicide. After a short period of time the individual
agreed to be transported for a mental health evaluation.
On 8 Sep 05 James L. Henthorn, age 26, 2020
Bear Run Road, Reno, reported while he was at Huck’s
Farm to pick up his check that morning his cousin, who he states
has continually harassed him, allegedly slapped him. Mr. Henthorn
stated he only wants his cousin to leave him alone and declined
to pursue the matter further (1071).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Leslie Ault, age 36, 254 Watson Avenue,
Lowellville, OH, for failure to reinstate his operator’s
license and for failure to register, both misdemeanors. Ault
was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Sep 05 at 4:15 am.
Dorothy Jane Henthorn, age 36, PO Box 654,
New Matamoras, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Henthorn was arrested on State
Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 8 Sep 05 at 10:30 am.
Marc Anthony Crockett, age 25, 1560 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta,
for breaking and entering, theft, safecracking and for possession
of criminal tools, all felonies. Crockett was picked up at
the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Sep 05 at
12:16 pm.
