On 4 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated a traffic stop on Green Street after observing the vehicle he was following swerving in its lane. While speaking with the driver, Reah J. Myers, age 56, 104 State Street, Marietta, Deputy Evans noticed an odor of alcohol as well as two empty beer cans behind the passenger seat. Although Ms. Myers claimed she consumed only two beers she performed poorly on field sobriety tests. As a result Deputy Evans arrested Ms. Myers for OVI and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 4 Sep 05 Sheila D. Sprague, age 41, 6466 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, reported while she was camping at the Hune Bridge an acquaintance claiming she owed him money appeared demanding payment of the debt. When she refused, James Sprague, age 55, threw a Mag-light through the rear window of her van. Accordingly, Deputy Sheriff Ortiz requested a summons for Mr. Sprague for criminal damaging.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Victor Junior Thompson, age 48, 122 Ward Street, Marietta, for OVI, for driving left of center and for failure to obey the right of way, all misdemeanors. Thompson was arrested in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 12:33 am.

Amber Loraine Sparks, age 25, 718 Ohio Avenue Apt. C, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license and for having fictitious plates, both misdemeanors. Sparks was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 1:30 am.

David Wayne Wriston, age 21, 687 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for resisting arrest and for obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Wriston was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 1:58 am.

Justin Daniel Deems, age 25, 20247 State Route 550, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his parole and for a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing. Deems was arrested at the Four Seasons by Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 3:34 am.

James Michael Deems, age 23, 507 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, for giving false information to avoid a ticket, for not wearing a seat belt, for violating the terms of his probation and for receiving stolen property, all misdemeanors. Deems was arrested in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 3:51 am.

Rhea Jean Myers, age 56, 104 State Street, Marietta, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Myers was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 4:42 am.

Charles Wesley Johnson, age 53, 927 Wiley Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested his residence by Patrolman Davis of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 5:46 am.

Lisa Michelle McCroskey, age 37, 4317 Sayre Avenue, Parkersburg, for OVI, a misdemeanor. McCroskey was arrested on State Route 618 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Sep 05 at 10:20 pm.
