On 3 Sep 05 Kevin L. Parks, age 20, 85 Second Street, Lower Salem, reported his 1987 Chevy S-10 was stolen from the vicinity of Buell’s Run between 5 pm and 11 pm the previous evening. This case remains under investigation (1071).

On 3 Sep 05 the mother of a fifteen year old Frontier High School student reported on several occasions at the football game the previous evening, her daughter’s ex-boyfriend restrained her daughter in an apparent effort to express his unrequited love. This case remains under investigation (1071).

On 3 Sep 05 Deputy Sheriff Kapple was dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Station Carryout, 595 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, after witnesses reported seeing an intoxicated male back his truck into a Hyundai Elantra owned by Anna M. Parmiter, 535 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre. Interviewing witnesses, Deputy Kapple determined the driver of the suspect vehicle was Joseph D. Perdue, age 51, 100 Chris Street Apt. 12A, Belpre. Mr. Perdue confessed to being the driver of the truck and that he also consumed a lot of alcohol. Following Mr. Perdue’s poor performance on field sobriety tests, Deputy Kapple arrested him for OVI and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Andrew Michael Russell, age 19, Second Street, Marietta, for criminal damaging/endangering, a misdemeanor. Russell was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 05 at 2:14 am.

Joseph Duane Perdue Sr., age 50, 12 Chris Street Apt. A100, Belpre, for .17 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Perdue was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 05 at 3:22 am.

Charles Wesley Riffle Jr., age 40, 2901 North Avery Street, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor charges of OVI, not wearing a seat belt, failure to signal, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Riffle was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 05 at 4:11 am.

Russell Allen Strahler, age 43, 1001 Colonial Drive Apt. C1, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Strahler was arrested on Colegate Drive in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 05 at 5:03 am.

Melissa Jo Flesher, age 30, 598 Tennis Center Drive, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a felony. Flesher was arrested at Go Mart by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 05 at 11:45 am.

David Morgan Mallison, age 21, 2049 Braewick Drive, Akron, for operating with an expired or without an operator’s license, a misdemeanor. Mallison was arrested on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 05 at 11:54 pm.
