On 26 Aug 05 Corrections Officer Bichard investigated
an assault at the Washington County Jail. Interviewing witnesses
and the inmates involved, Officer Bichard concluded the skirmish
began when Jonathan E. Jennings, age 32, 194 High Street, Vincent,
stepped in front of Dustin McKnight, age 20, 3905 State Route
530, Lowell, outside of the bathroom and would not let him
pass. Admittedly angry that Mr. McKnight made a mess of his
bunk and at being constantly harassed by Mr. McKnight and other
inmates, Mr. Jennings punched him repeatedly in the face. In
consequence, Officer Bichard requested a summons for Mr. Jennings
for assault.
On 26 Aug 05 Eric Morris, age 23, 836 Pike
Street Apt. 12, Marietta, reported during a heated discussion
his girlfriend left the home and broke he windshield of his
Honda Accord. Mr. Morris declined to pursue the matter further
(792, 1071).
On 26 Aug 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Dallas W. Roberts, age 23, 127 Pine Drive, Little
Hocking, for failing to stop at a stop sign. Deputy Mankins
stopped Mr. Roberts at the intersection of Waterford Road and
Main Street in Waterford Township.
On 26 Aug 05 Candi Schob, age 37, 120 Brant
Drive, Marietta, reported early that morning an unknown suspect(s)
broke a front window in an ill-fated attempt to enter her home.
This case remains under investigation (1203).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jonathan Wayne Batten, age 23, 4592 Bessemer
Road, Nelsonville, failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Batten was arrested near the
Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 05 at 1:45 am.
Benjamin George Doneski, age 42, 69407 Sunset Heights, Bridgeport,
OH, for .08 breath OVI, for operating without or with an expired
license and for driving left of center, all misdemeanors. Doneski
was arrested on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 05
at 2:40 am.
Majed Abdullah Maliki, age 22, 818 Ridge Street, Marietta,
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Maliki was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug
05 at 3:10 am.
