On 25 Aug 05 John Stevens, age 50, 844 Bear Creek Road, Lowell, reported between 3:30 and 4 that afternoon witnesses observed a tall, blonde haired male removing items from his home. Items stolen include five Playstation 2 games and four guns of varying caliber. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 25 Aug 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks investigated reports of an intoxicated subject creating a disturbance and imbibing beer in the parking lot of the Cliffside Carryout, 20825 State Route 550, Marietta. Witnesses stated they observed Christopher D. Miller, age 36, 307 Maple Street, Marietta, enter his vehicle, accelerate in reverse, strike a black Monte Carlo then leave the scene. Mr. Miller confirmed the eyewitness accounts, claiming he believed the vehicle he struck belonged to a friend who wouldn’t mind. Consequently, Deputy Parks issued Mr. Miller a citation for reckless operation on private property and for operating a motor vehicle without proof of financial responsibility.

On 25 Aug 05 Larry Henderson, age 31, PO Box 1179, Ashland, KY, reported between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning a three ton electromagnet was stolen from a contractor’s worksite at Eramet in Marietta. This case remains under investigation (602).

David M. Phillips, age 45, 2245 Clark Hill Road, Beverly, for an act of domestic violence on 19 Aug 05.

Douglas E. Smith, age 33, 1001 Third Street, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve twenty-two days in jail on 19 Aug 05.

Maria A. Smith, age 26, 230 Wood Street Apt. 104, Sistersville, WV, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $175.50.

Ronald L. Stevens, age 36, 280 Leo Sams Lane, Chesterhill, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 8 Aug 05 and for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $396.50.

Martin D. Welch, age 33, 2484 State Route 266, Stockport, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,247.89.

Paul R. Wilson, age 28, 1139 Township Road 162, Mingo Junction, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $446.60.

Shane F. Zoellner, age 33, 1600 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $188.50.

Christopher M. Anthony, age 32, 73 56th Street, Vienna, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $175.50.

Brian T. Sawyer, age 25, 313 Ross Road, Little Hocking, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $926.49.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Andrew Lee Pickens, age 26, 433 Front Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Pickens was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 05 at 1:45 am.

Daniel Edward Christopher, age 29, 975 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Christopher was arrested on Poplar Street in Belpre by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 05 at 7:50 pm.
