On 20 Aug 05 Deputy Sheriff Parks investigated a criminal damaging incident at the Sheriff’s Office’s Fourth Street location after an unknown suspect threw an empty beer bottle through a pane of glass on the building’s front door.

On 20 Aug 05 Melissa J. Smith, age 32, 775 Jennings Hill Road, Marietta, reported during a four hour span that evening an unidentified person strewn about a large number of nails on her driveway. This case remains under investigation (292).

On 20 Aug 05 a neighbor of Leslie R. Vanoster, age 48, 4963 State Route 60, Marietta, reported witnessing a slender white male removing a screen from and vaulting through one of Mr. Vanoster’s windows. When he inventoried his belongings Mr. Vanoster reckoned eight of his pain pills were missing. This case remains under investigation (296).

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dale Robert Wiggins Jr., age 24, 1311 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wiggins was arrested at McDonald’s by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 05 at 1:29 pm.
