On 19 Aug 05 Lt. Canavan investigated an assault in the parking lot of Sierra Apartments, 836 Pike Street, Marietta. Witnesses independently confirm seeing Jayme J. Bigler, age 29, 1016 Madison Street Apt. A, Charleston, pulled Christine G. Baker, age 24, Apt. 3, of her porch, punched her in the head and beat her in the head with a rock. In consequence, Lt. Canavan requested a warrant for Ms. Bigler for assault.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Molly M. Azbell, age 34, 449 West Franklin Street, Nelsonville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $273.

Jonathan W. Batten, age 23, 4592 Bessemer Road, Nelsonville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $390.15.

Jesse S. Books, age 23, 914 Warren Street, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $456.30.

Evette M. Carpenter, age 27, 4282 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $236.

Mark J. Hinton, age 25, 1230 Muirwood Drive, Zanesville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $189.15.

Charles W. Hunter, age 20, 1314 Franklin Street Apt. 3, Toronto, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $715.

Denzel M. Jeffers, age 20, 1113 Putnam Howe Drive, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $353.35.

Marion N. Johnson-Keaton, age 19, 60 Lynnwood Street, Columbus, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $383.50.

Alfred H. Martin, age 19, 23939 Moyis Road, Coolville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $286.

Douglas N. Martin, age 48, 1002 Washington Boulevard Apt. 1, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $213.20.

Mechele L. Nichols, age 43, 41 Pennock Trailer Park, Beverly, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $214.50.

Jon E. Preston, age 24, 728 Third Street, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $401.70.

Matthew Cole, age 22, Route 1 Box 68, Belpre, a warrant upon indictment on charges of complicity in breaking and entering and for receiving stolen property.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Troy Shane Wittekind, age 36, 2018 Warren Chapel Road, for operating without a license, for driving under a suspended license, for possession of drug paraphernalia and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Wittekind was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 05 at 2:05 am.

Anthony Bryan Martin, age 19, 700 Greenhill Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for contempt of a court order, both misdemeanors. Martin was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Parks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 05 at 2:55 am.

Donald James Covey, age 31, 615 Front Street Lot 1, Marietta, for a felony charge of assault on a peace officer and for a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. Covey was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 05 at 4:10 am.

Justin Allen Nice, age 20, 1945 North Street, Stockport, for .17 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Nice was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 05 at 4:15 am.

Evette Meshelle Carpenter, age 27, 96 Main Street, Lower Salem, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 05 at 11:20 am.

Brice Edward Bender, age 37, 611 Roseland Avenue, Williamstown, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bender was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 05 at 3:00 pm.
