On 18 Aug 05 as he was entering his driveway
driving his Ford truck, Robert R. Myers, age 76, 605 Lawton
Road, Marietta, inadvertently pressed the gas pedal instead
of the brake, causing him to strike his home and a telephone
pole on his property. Reporting no injuries, Mr. Myers’ vehicle
sustained moderate functional damage (296).
On 18 Aug 05 Lt. Canavan issued a citation
to Jesse D. Davis, age 25, 1188 Gordon Road, Pinnacle, NC,
for traveling 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. Lt. Canavan stopped
Mr. Davis on State Route 7 near milepost thirty-five in Newport
Township.
On 18 Aug 05 a fifty-one year old Little Hocking
resident reported he and his wife have been receiving threatening
phone calls from a relative for roughly two weeks. This case
remains under investigation (232).
On 18 Aug 05 Sgt. Hiatt responded to the scene
of the death of a seventy-one year old Marietta man. The death
appears to be due to natural causes, no foul play is suspected.
On 18 Zachary D. Kerns, age 26, 121 Franklin
Street, Little Hocking, reported while he was away from his
home for seven hours that afternoon an unknown suspect(s) entered
his locked residence and stole three knives, ammunition, a
chrome toolbox, a camera and a cuckoo clock. This case remains
under investigation (232).
On 18 Aug 05 the owner of Hilltop Auto Wrecking,
975 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported during the previous
evening, unknown suspects entered an unused panel truck in
his scrap yard and stole a large number of aluminum radiators
and aluminum air conditioner condensers. This case remains
under investigation (602).
On 18 Aug 05 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was dispatched
to 134 Whipkey Drive, Waterford, in reference to a domestic
dispute. Upon his arrival, Patricia Jones, age 28, informed
Deputy Mankins she and her live-in boyfriend of six months,
Shawn Bonar, age 29, were arguing after she caught him speaking
with his soon to be ex-wife. Ms. Jones stated then Mr. Bonar
proceeded to follow her into the bathroom and choked her until
she told him she would not call law enforcement to the home.
Releasing Ms. Jones from his clutches, Mr. Bonar fled the scene
with his wife. As a result of Mr. Bonar’s actions Deputy
Mankins requested a warrant for his arrest for domestic violence.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Douglass Alan Huxley, age 25, 1421 Lancaster
Street Apt. 101G, Marietta, for violating the terms of his
probation, a misdemeanor. Huxley was arrested in Marietta by
Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 05 at 2:40
am.
Benjamin Ivan Porter, age 39, 628 Front Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, for speeding,
for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
all misdemeanors. Porter was arrested on Front Street in Marietta
by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 05
at 12:10 pm.
Dallas Wiley Farnsworth, age 32, 266 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for breach of recognizance and for contempt of a court order,
both misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested on Muskingum Drive
by Detective Jenkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18
Aug 05 at 4:48 pm.
Charley Gilmore Johnson, age 49, Parkersburg, for OVI, a misdemeanor.
Johnson was arrested at the Washington County Home by Lt. Wilson
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 05 at 3:05 pm.
Eric W. Drake, age 37, 1014 ½ Hadley Lane, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Drake
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Hamilton
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 05
at 11:45 pm.
Justin Bryce Davis, age 23, 416 Arnold Road, Lowell, for domestic
violence, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested at Devol’s
Dam by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 18 Aug 05 at 11:55 pm.
