On 24 Jul 05 a thirty-nine year old Lower
Salem resident reported while his nine year old son stayed
at his mother’s for a weekend visitation she allegedly
slapped the child. The father desired not to pursue charges;
he only wanted to have a record of the incident (1071).
On 24 Jul 05 Arnold L. Hartline, age 40, 1045
Sandhill Road Lot 15, Marietta, reported observing that evening,
three males knocking on the doors and on the sides of several
trailers in the trailer park then running away. This case remains
under investigation (1071).
On 24 Jul 05 a fifteen year old Parkersburg
resident reported after being twice yellow flagged and confronting
the issuing official at a go cart race at the speedway in Barlow,
the official allegedly poked him in the face with a flag stick.
This case remains under investigation (200, 305).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Douglas Smith, age 27, 40 Mitchell Grove,
Newport, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 24 Jul 05 at 12:26 am.
Edward Miles Casto, age 42, 736 Greene Street Apt. 23, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license and for operating outside
licensed restrictions, both misdemeanors. Casto was arrested
on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Jul 05 at 1:45 am.
James Howard Swain, age 27, 68 Woodland Terrace, Morgantown,
WV, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for possessing
an open container of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Swain was
arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Jul 05 at 12:10 pm.
Brian Albert O’Connor Sr., age 40, 209 Walnut Street,
Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
O’Connor at Miller’s Landing in Belpre by Probation
Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 24 Jul 05 at 4:30 pm.
